He's more than welcome to explore the option of a possible fight. Until he signs to fight, it doesn't mean he's any less RETIRED.

Say I smoke for 2 years. Then I quit for 1 year. One time I think about having a cigarrette, but instead I don't. It doesn't mean I didn't quit. Just that I "explored the option" of having another one.

he is always going to turn down guys who have a chance to beat him,thats why he left now that the ww division is hot....i mean look carefully at his opponents records when he fought them,he sure knows how to hand pick them..manfredy fight was stopped too early,,juuko fight was coming from a loss,carlos gerena only fought chicanito hernandez and lost,had fought nobody,goyo vargas had 6 loses,emmanuel agusto had lost 3 of 4 fights before fighting floyd corley had just lost too when he fought floyd,as you see,a lot of those fighters werent any good...corrales? please,the guy would just fall by himself,gatti?no comment,had been in too many wars already,no big deal beating him..hatton,even mayweather said he's awful,so what credit does he get.??..oscar? c'mon,old oscar,oscar that has been done for years and only fights what,once a year?...i think floyd has skills,but when it's against these kind of fighters,it makes him look better than what he is,,,he never truly fought the tough guys,,i really think manny beats him..or cotto,or any other welter out there,paul williams too,...thats why floyd retired before the public demanded him stop choosing his opponents and fight real fighters.
