From a Margarito fan...

I dissagree in saying that Marg NEEDED the wraps to win. His chin wasn't affected by the wraps and I have said this all along that his will and heart can't be questioned, it's just a shame that this whole thing went down the way it did because Marg is one of those fighters that is just fun to watch.

I question both his WILL and his HEART...A cheater has niether...There always looking for that shortcut to circumvent the fact that they lack all mental fortitude.

No one should question if Margarito has WILL or HEART. The guy has proven that he has both, as have other cheaters. No one doubted that Mosley had heart agasint De La Hoya both fights, despite having more juice flowing through his veins than a damn orange grove. What they lack is HONESTY and INTEGRITY. An honest loss is more admirable than any dishonest victories.

What is there to consider when it is known that all you can use to wrap your hands is just tape and gauze. No one is refusing to listen other points, its just that most of them are rather absurd.

For the sake of argument let's say he didn't know, then he should be punished for being dumb and incompetent. His gloves are the ones being loaded and he should be held 100% accountable for what's in them.

1. If that were the case, you'd be typing from prison right now. So I can't agree.

2. If you got held up in an airport because they found explosive material's in your luggage (materials that were placed there by an airport baggage handler), you're telling me its still YOU that should be in trouble for something someone else planted on you.... someone you trusted to do their job, as they've done countless times before?

F this guy...I have no sympathy or kind words for him...He's a cheater and should be ostrosized ...he is an embarrasment to all the mexican warriors that showed what REAL HEART and WILL was all about....

I have to be real for a second here. I was a big fan of Margarito because he was such a hard worker and his style in the ring was very exciting. Now that all of this has come out, he has tarnished his name forever.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that he didn't wrap his hands illegally against Cintron or Cotto or any other opponent before Mosley, nobody will ever believe he didn't do it.

It's sad because he has had such a great career and being only 30 still has a good few years in his prime in the sport. I don't think that he will ever bounce back from this and it's a shame that it had to come to this.

I'm very disappointed in Marg and his trainer especially and I can't believe that Marg wasn't aware of what was going on being he and his trainer were so tight.

His performance against Cotto was epic and we will never know if he had illegally wrapped his hands that was in that fight but now it doesn't matter. I have lost all respect for Margarito because of this and it's a shame that it had to go down like this.

If there's a slim chance that his trainer was doing this without Marg knowing or understanding it, then he should immediately fire his trainer and separate himself from him forever but I believe in my heart that he knew what was up.

Bro, I respect your comment a great deal. You basicly said everything I thinking. There will be guys on this site that will state they know 100% for sure he had to use them in other fights. I will not do that because it will never be proven. I will say I feel 99.988% confident that he used them in other fights though and he knew about it.
Listen, I respected the way Margarito fought but did want Cotto and Cintron to win their fights. Yes I'm Puerto Rican....but I grew up in Southern California and always respected the great Mexican fighters. When Margarito prevailed I was happy for him. I though he earned it. My gut feeling is I was wrong. He did not earn it. It's too bad because boxing needs exciting fighters like him. Make no mistake, he will fight again but as far as I'm concerned his record is VOID! He will be 0-0 in his next fight for me. Oh ya,..By the way Cintron and Cotto are undefeated again too.....! Margarito always displayed hart. I will always respect that about him but his soul is a bit weak. too bad I was looking forward to Margarito -Cotto #2...
