What punch was the key punch used when Floyd wupped on Hatton? A straight right.

Who has the best straight in the business? Pacquiao.

also being a southpaw, makes it all the more easy to land that left on Hattons face. Pacquiaos left is a powerful punch, Mayweathers was not.

I see Hatton getting cut in the first or second round, bleeding it out till about round 6, getting koed in 7.

Oh yea, strength won't be a factor, Pacquiao coming down from welterweight might actually make him the stronger dude.
You're not taking into account the fact that Hatton didn't have a great trainer vs. Mayweather Jnr. his tactics were all wrong, he hardly used his jab, or moved his head, or used any angles in that fight; whereas now he has Mayweather Snr. in his corner, he'll have a good gameplan, he'll focus heavily on the jab this time (and he has a good jab when he does use it), move his head a lot more and show a lot more angles. Not saying he'll win, but anyone who thinks he'll be as bad as he was against Mayweather Jnr. now he has Floyd Snr. in his corner is delusional. Plus he's fighting at his best weight this time, and he's much weaker at 147.

A interesting thing to look at, their legs, that's where the power punch comes from ultimately. They rotate your torso and make for great hooks, a step in the right directing combined with the right timing can produce great results. Pacquiao clearly has the stronger legs. It's not gonna be an easy night for Hatton. He can however win on a body punch or if somehow he shows up much stronger than Pacquiao, which i doubt. I like both fighters but am not a big fan (nuthugger style) of either. That said, i've been wrong in almost every 09 prediction so far. :P
So do you really think that Manny Pacquiao who had a hard time beating Juan Manuel Marquez is a stronger fighter than Ricky Hatton who is a natural 140lb fighter & has fought at 147 & went 10 rounds with PBF? From my own opinion I think that people are really sleeping on Ricky Hatton. Ricky Hatton has the best defensive Trainer in the sport in his corner & if Ricky can adjust to his teaching properly then he will be effective defensively as well as offensively. Like I said before, I think people are giving Manny too much props like he will totally run through Ricky Hatton but I just don't see it. I went against my gut before and was wrong in regards to picking winners so I'm not going against the grain now. Not ready to pick my winner yet until I see the training but I'm giving Ricky Hatton a better chance of an upset than most.

You guys are forgetting that Manny Pacquiao will be visiting at Ricky Hatton's comfortable weight which is 140 & you guys are also forgetting that Ricky Hatton has power in his jabs & his body punches & you guys are also forgetting that he has Floyd Sr in his corner & you guys are also forgetting that Hatton has only been KO'd once by a far superior DEFENSIVE & ACCURATE fighter & you guys are also forgetting that Manny Pacquiao struggled with JMM after he knocked him down so how much power can he really have? & you guys are also forgetting that Pacquiao gets hit FLUSH & you guys are also forgetting that Hatton is fast & knows how to cut the ring off & close the gap on speedy fighters & you guys are also forgetting that Pacquiao is a strictly OFFENSIVE fighter & will have to exchange power shots to get a meaningful win. Last but not least Ricky Hatton has fought BIGGER PUNCHERS than Manny Pacquiao & weather them fine. Not too sure that Manny will be owning him.

Hey man, I'm with you on this. People are really hype off of Pacquiao's wins over David Diaz & Oscar De La Hoya but forgetting he struggled against Juan Manuel Marquez & Hatton is much stronger than Marquez. Anyone has the chance of winning but people are giving Pacquiao this big edge but I can't see it.

Hatton got knocked out at his best fighting weight , the same weight he was when he stepped in with Castillo , you guys with this he aint been beat at 140 are full of bull**** and ignore facts to suit your own idea , weigh-in weight is not important the actuall fight weight is all important , Floyd and Ricky fought at the weight jnr welters fight at , it was only welter on paper not for real .

Pac speed will be to much for Hatton. Hatton will **** for the first few rounds but will be on the defense more. Who has Hatton faced with the hand speed and onslaught of punches? Pacquiaos fist have been doing damage leaving his opponents on the deck, bloody, or quitting. Mid to late round stoppage, Pac takes this one in a bloody mess.

You seem to be getting a bit carried away. Not all of us are basing our assessment of Pacquiao on his last two wins, some of us have been following him for years, we are not all noobz, so please don't paint us all with the same brush. Myself, I've never made a bet against him since he destroyed Barrera in 2003. Barrera was a seriously good body puncher, so I don't buy it when people say Hatton will destroy Pac with body shots like a lot of people are claiming.

You seem to think Pac is untested at 140. How so? If he can retain his speed and power at 135 against Diaz, then destroy Oscar at 147 while again retaining his speed, how is he gonna have problems at 140? The weight is almost a non-issue, I think. Pac is super quick and packs good power whatever weight he chooses. He is a more skilled fighter than Hatton could ever hope to be, and in my opinion, Mayweather Sr. being in Hatton's corner won't make a great deal of difference because Ricky is too far into his career to change completely. He may be slightly improved, but how long will the "new" Ricky Hatton be able to keep focus when he's taking lightning-fast punches from Pacquiao?

Don't get me wrong, I ain't writing Ricky off, I rate him as a good fighter, but not a fighter who can successfully compete with true elites such as Pacquiao and Mayweather. He still has a good chance, but I see a T/KO for Pacquiao.

Another thing -- Pacquiao is a southpaw. I don't think Ricky particular likes those.

Pac loses to slick fighters, not brawlers like Hatton. Marquez came close, he's a slick fighter. Morales beat him once in a close fight and then got hammered in the second and third. Erik was a slick fighter. Pac's KO defeats were very early in his career and he learned from them and hasn't been KO'd since, despite drastically moving up in class.

                    Pacquio by late T/KO.
