Mosley was still out there, not sure how he dominated. Did he fight Quartey also?? He was a beast though, I give him that, but he didn't exactly dominate like you think. Kinda like the way the WW is now, not really a best cause they have all beaten each other.

when mosley went to WW, trinidad was already at 154. and when mosley move up, trinidad was already at 160.it was obvious they were never going to meet.

Are you sure?? If I recall correctly Tito was still at WW when Mosley moved up.
Darn!! What a fight it could of been. I don't know who could of won but if I had to put my money, it would of been Tito.

Tito dominated at WW, Mosley was fighting Wilfedo Rivera in his first fight at Ww after the DLH-Trinidad fight. So he wasnt a top WW then. the only guy tito didnt fought was Quartey, and that was becaue Quartey went on a 1 year lay off and move up after the DLH fight and Fought Fernando vargas at SWW and he lost.

Mosleys resume is a bit overrated. His big wins are against Holliday, DLH and Vargas. he doesnt have muc after that. Molina,Mayorga, ect, ect, ect

Mosley is getting overrated and ovehyped because he KO Margo. But he is not P4P better than DLH or Trinidad IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!

            hmm

IMO it's a tossup between Oscar and Shane. Tito very close behind.

It's funny because Tito and Shane had the potential to be a lot better than Oscar, and I believe that they were 'ruined' (if you can say ruined about those HOF careers) by havinf their dad as trainer.

Oscar managed to win some fights by boxing, some by brawling, but his natural attributes were below both fighters. Oscar also fought the some of the most unbelievable competition in the history of the sport. Still if Tito or Shane fought smarter, they would be on a different level than Oscar.

My problem with picking Oscar is that he is not that good of a fighter compared to Shane.

My problem with Shane is those back2back losses, and his being sometime too good for his own good.

My problem with Tito is his being so incredibly (to me at least) unable to deal with world class level boxers (Oscar, Hop, Winky) and jabs (I would be curious to have seen Tito-Quartey or Tito-Forrest as a chance of redemption).

No Mosley wasn't out there. Mosley didn't come up to WW until after Tito went to jrMW. Also after the DLH fight Quartey went into semi-retirement. He didn't fight for about a year and a half after that fight.

Make no mistakes about it. When Tito moved up to SMW the WW division was cleaned out.

Tito's last fight at 147 was Oscar. He moved up right after.

People arguing for oscar must be on crack!! Lets be honest, he didnt really beat trinidad up, he won a few exchanges and then ran like he was in a race. He never wanted to really exchange with tito and the running was one of the dumbest things ive ever seen. Trinidad has only lost to bigger men who were defensive minded. Titos resume stands out so much more than moselys or oscars, he has more title defences, more impressive wins, and not for nothing he retired early, had he stayed in boxing past 30 like the other two hed have an even better record! He captured the hearts of the puerto ricans and put puerto rico back on the map in the boxing world. Oscar was good and he fought everybody, but he lost most of his big fights. And people say oscar was a beast in his prime but to me he ran against tito, ducked margarito, became famous for beating an aged chavez and then lost most his big fights. And if this question was posed before shane beat margarito nobody wouldve picked him....there all great, there all hall of famers, oscars heart is questionable, he never won the biig fights and was never a dominant fighter outside of the money. Shanes solid, quality wins and a steady career, but i wouldve liked to see him take on margarito and mayweather earlier in his career, and the steroids thing doesnt help at all. And tito was a solid puncher with power in both hands. He had trouble with boxers a bit, but all 3 loses were in divisions that he jumped into for money, he dominated his divisions, in his prime he was a force like no other. Consistently knocked people out and didnt turn anyone away. I agree that having his father instead of a roach or steward in his corner limited what he could do, but the rican fighters usually dont convert to the american trainers. Overall, i just think tito did it when it counted. He beat guys his whole career, no mismatches or bull**** fights, every fight was against an undefeated fighter, a champion, or a quality opponent. He gave numerous good fighters there first loss and in the end when you go 12 rounds with heavier guys with the skill of hopkins and wrights, and you count those as your only loses...( jones was a money fight, 170?) ..its impressive to me, hopkins is still taking the young brawlers to school( pavlik.) and wright is about to fight another young contender in williams. ...tito is a legend and in my eyes still doesnt get the true respect. Oscar and shane have all lost fighting there own style, loses to hopkins and wright are a little different because of there styles, but nobody went toe to toe and beat tito and he cleaned every bodys clock...
