margarito's honor is on the line. as a fan, im waiting for the result. if he is found guilty, i will take a 360-turn from him. and i will go for cotto in a rematch.
and what makes it unbelievable to use illegal wraps even in sparring? if one can use it in an actual fight when somebody is paid to oversee the wrapping, the more a fighter or his handlers can do it in sparring when nobody dares to watch the handwrapping. this is simple logic. that is to test how effective the weapon would be.Comment

Yea, I don't think he's lying or anything. If he says it felt like he got hit with something harder than a punch I believe it felt like that. But who knows if that's what happened ya know, it could have hit him at an awkward angle or something.I totally agree with you. I would be upset about anyone getting hurt when something illegal was done, but the fact that I'm very good friends with Rashad makes me even more upset. I know Rashad is telling the truth. If nothing else he's down playing all of this because he's a very humble person.
I'm certainly not a Margarito fan, but I just can't see him using them in sparring, it's just tough to picture for me. Not saying I'm right or anything it just seems so unbelievable.
Most important part of the story is that Rashad's career isn't suffering any permanent damage.Comment

You have to understand that using the wraps that turn into plaster when they get wet would feel very different. It makes perfect sense for him to use them in sparring, so he can get use to them.Comment

no reason to use loaded gloves in sparring or in a real fight for that matter.....
but it makes sense that if the mosley fight was the first time they'd used them, they'd probably "test" them out in sparring first....
idk, i doubt the mosley fight was the first time tho, supposedly there were old blood stains on the wraps, indicating previous use.Comment

i'm wondering though, where did sensatiional!'s thumb story came from???????????
im gonna make an assumption(ala everyone who's minds are already made up on the margarito issue for good or bad...) and say he most likely asked rashad holloway, who told him the thumb story trying to save face, and who has know changed his story to "i got hit with bricks" after the events involving margarito...
yeah i know, it is moronic to make claims without proof...............Comment

Rashad talked about it way before Margarito fought Mosley. It's not like he's saying anything now that all of this came out. Did you hear Freddie talk about it on ESPN this past Friday night? Trust me. I don't want to believe it's true. It doesn't matter whether I like Margarito or not. I don't want to believe it because this will hurt boxing. Plus I don't want to believe that someone would endanger someone's life on purpose.Yea, I don't think he's lying or anything.
