But you never know with Manny Pacquiao he could always pull out a knockdown from somewhere. But the Manny Pacquiao who was effective against JMM in 2008.

The 2004 version would have been nowhere near as effective against JMM. And more than likely he would of been outboxed by atleast 8 rounds to 4.

I just can't help thinking JMM made the worst choice of his career, turning down the immediate rematch with Manny Pacquiao. Then losing to an unknown Chris John, now its too late because no matter if they fight. Its still going be far tougher now because Manny Pacquiao has improved leaps and bounds since then.
i thought jmm won the last one!

I don't think I'll ever understand the Manny Hype though. Aside from Marquez and a Morales who put up his last great fight, Manny hasn't done s#$% but jump from division to division and pick out the weakest guys. I know he's fast and can pop, lol but I just can't believe no one has either suggested or even desired to see him in there with someone who can take those shots and throw some leather of their own. lol The ****in guy has a golden ticket in his ass, he can get away without havin to fight anyone for any reason.

I mean Oscar catches alot of ****, lol But Oscar wasn't even as protected as Manny is with Bob Arum. But then again Oscar took it upon himself to make the biggest fights...lol Manny just keeps his mouth shut and lets it slide.
Well the Hatton fight should answer that question, Hatton is the best guy at 140 and his beard is ok it's gotten worse over the years but he can still take a punch

No, JMM got floored 4 times (almost 5). I like Marquez, he is a great fighter, but he didn't do enough to win. Came very close, but nope. No cigar, chief.

Most of those rounds aren't convincing rounds and could have gone the other way. Since the judges scored them for Marquez then that's where we have to go.

Timing has nothin to do wit it. JMM would beat Pac if he could keep his ass off the canvas.

I thought Pac won the first one and Marquez won the second one. I thought JMM had him figured out by the second fight but it's a credit to Pac that he kept it close enough to win the decision.

There won't be a third one. After DLH and Hatton it's hard to imagine Pac fighting for under 8 figures (10 million) and Marquez doesn't bring that kind of cake to the table.

Not many do, and especially in the divisions Pac moved up from.
