He lost to Leonard because he tried outboxing him in the early rounds. Once Hagler started following his gameplan, he began catching Leonard with a lot more shots. If he'd fought his fight from the first round its quite likely he would have won that fight.

He wasn't anywhere near as fast as Leonard, but he wasn't a slow fighter. Most fighters would have look a tad slow against SRL.

          i would say today
Sugar Shand Mosley, he can do it all.
Bernard Hopkins, when he was a few years younger.

Im not sure about that, if Hagler had fought more aggressive he might of found it even harder to cut the ring down on Leonard. Hagler came on, because Leonard started to tire imo.

Im not saying Hagler was slow, but he was never quick.

If it would of been 15 rounds like it would of been if Sugar Ray Leonard hadn't changed it too 12 rounds. Sugar Ray Leonard would of been stopped IMO, he didn't have much left at the end where as Marvin Hagler. Looked like he could of fought all night long.

Hagler could have probably fought all week long!

                      ...........Probably

Personally i just dont like the way people try to take away from Ray's victory over Hagler, if its not the amount of rounds boxed its excuses about the decision or Hagler was past his prime etc. Like Leonard wasn't a WW 2 years inactive who was also on the slide.
