While the person who claimed that Hagler ducked Graham is way OTT - Graham may have been an alphabet mandatory but was not rated by The Ring or in any other respected independent ratings as the no. 1 challenger, and the idea that the great Hagler would have been scared to fight Graham is crazy - your comment is just as ignorant from the other extreme. Graham gave Mike McCallum probably his toughest title fight, in which he only lost due to points deducted for low blows. While McCallum wouldn't have beaten Hagler, he was a genuine all time great and a hall of famer. Unfortunately for him, due to his style, Graham wasn't very marketable, and that's probably why he got so few title shots until he was past his peak and his reactions had slowed - and his style depended on his reactions. At his peak, Graham would certainly have given Hagler a run for his money, although Hagler would have won.
