I don't think he is way past his prime although he may have slipped from the form he showed against Lacy and Kessler. Those are the two fights that I feel were his best showings and I've seen nearly all of his fights.

Too bad so many here resent a champion quitting while still on top. He should be a role model for the many champions who didn't (like Roy Jones).

that shows to me he is way past his prime.
Not that he finally stepped up and fought some half decent opposition?

There's a reason why MANFREDO didn't cut him out of those fighters.

You can argue that he's wat past his prime if you want but then you have to ask yourself what he was doing DURING his prime, and which patsy he was fighting in Wales.

This thread is complete bull****. Calzaghe is tailor made for Hopkins style that is the main reason why Joe looked bad.

I'm amazed you could even spell it. Mind you, mongs tend to know their correct terminology.

Haven't got the energy to comment in several other posts, but it never ceases to amaze me the ignorance and lack of class of some. Given the vast numbers of current and former champions that have come out and hailed him you'd have thought some people would realize how silly they are.
