well calzaghes a bigger guys than hearns hagler and SRL so its not really fair to put him in the ring with any of the, imo hagler doesn't have a style that is suited to fighting at weights that are higher than his own weight. SRL struggled at the higher weights and imo would also be too small for calzaghe. hearns has a punchers chance but again its nothing more than that.
as for mythical match ups with current/former SMW's id like to see what benn thinks of calz and mclellan, calz and rjj, calz and toney etc. imo calz is clearly a notch above the domestic comp (benn, eubank, collins maybe even watson) but id like to know how benn thinks calz would do against some US fighters. imo benn is in a better position than most to judge because he has fought the best UK (eubank collins, watson) and US (mclellan, barkley) fighters and has seen the sport on both sides of the atlantic.
