I think Froch is somehow right & wrong...Froch is a risingstar that still needs to prove for himself & has the right to challenge other champions or elite champions since time is running out of him as a 32 years old...he has just won the WBC SMW Belt over then undefeated Jean Pascal...In Joe's part if his age forced him to retire then no question about it, but if he thinks that he has nothing to prove then maybe somehow i disagree w/ him cause his somewhat selective in his last fights...there's a lot of prospects & deserving rising stars & stars to challenge his caliber if he has the heart & will to conquer them all...his win over Hopkins is a big question to his resume since it could go the other way around & Jones nearly busted him in the 1st rd...there's also Pavlik even though he lost to Hopkins who also lost to Taylor w/c he beats twice (maybe an offnight Pavlik could be arguable), Tarver even he lost to Hopkins still has the style to match Joe, also Dawson maybe the biggest challenge right now, etc...I think if he considers some of my observations to conquer the remaining prospects & stars maybe he could be one of the best P4P of all time...

HOPKINS beats FROCH right NOW so does KESSLER.HOPKINS beat WINKY WRIGHT before CALZAGHE and shutout PAVLIK after CALZAGHE.Yes the same PAVLIK that FROCH tHE CROCK claimed alonng with himself the future ot the sport. This guy CARL FROCH is 32 HIMSELF his best win to date is a 37 year old ROBIN REID and lighthitting JEAN PASCAL (both had FROCH stunned I might add ).It just is getting ridiculous ,FROCH predicts ROY JONES to beat CALZAGHE the night of the fight then JOE easily wins (being dropped by a forearm doesn't count) and FROCH goes on after to say he fought and old guy.I'll say it now and forever HOPKINS and KESSLER would EMBARRASS "FROCH the 32 year old CROCK"of **** I might add.TAYLOR will end his carrear on SHOWTIME and no one will have to listen to this bum anymore.FROCH fight ANDRADE,KESSLER,HOPKINS,ABRAHAM-the future of the division my a** your future will come to an end on SHOWTIME sometime in MAY.

Calzaghe just between overrated and underrated. That's the exact definition of what he is as a fighter and champion still worthy of respect.

Good post there...you truly are a purist.

So Froch is struggling for names on Calzaghe's record. Don't suppose he's bothered to read his own. The sooner he gets the Kessler or Taylor fights the sooner we'll all be rid of him.....He's the biggest Earache of all time

I love the Froch bashing, and i'm sure he does aswell.

But on a serious note, Calzaghe deserves praise for a great career, and i find it funny that Carl was calling out Joe his whole career when he least deserved a shot at the time, but now disregards the past and states he doesn't need Joe at all. He needs to remember how he got the WBC title in the first place (with Joe relinquishing) and be thankful for that, and start making a career himself.

Just remember, i am Froch fan, but even i see sense at times.

                Exactly what I was thinking.

Out of all the boxers in the world, Froch is the last one who should be slagging off other fighters records. He was one decent fighter on his, Jean Pascal..........and thats it.

After these comments, I would love to see Froch take on Hopkins and see what the outcome would be. Hopkins would make him look an amateur.
