While fighters are fighting fighters, Mikkel Kessler is fighting Mads Larsen.

    Right after fighting Doogie Howser.

I believe he fought a croissant before that.

Five years from now you'll hear him telling everyone how he was ducked by all the top fighters even though he made as much an effort to get a big fight as I did. In other words, none.

kessler is a nobody. he fights nobodies. explain to me why kessler is so interested in fighting dawson, when there are good fighters at his own weight he could be chasing fights with. i smell b.s.
Your ignorance and hating on Kessler is ridiculous. He's not faced great competition but he's faced some ok guys and never really looked like losing, Hopkins, Dawson, Johnson, and others have been talked of but either they didn't want it or it didn't work out.

Regardless, there is consensus that he is the best at SMW, the very division Chad's suddenly talking about going to again after saying he wouldn't do so with Kessler whom is the best in the division. What has PW done at SMW to warrant such an odd prediction above Kessler, let alone what he would maybe do at SMW if he even wetn there, jeez.

And how do you defend that, by ludicrously saying why doesn't Kessler face the best in his division, and instead Dawson can fight PW, whom until awhile ago was at WW, and has only barely risen to MW once, then back down to JMW. You must be ****** to not see the blatant and direct contradiction in your argument there. If Dawsons going to go to another weight, why can he not face some of the best guys, like you so proclaim Kessler doesn't despite being the clear #1 there? You have a wide array of excuses huh.

      Btw, your clearly ignorant to Kessler because he isn't thrusted down your TV all the time conveniently, but a little education on the amount of top guys Kessler has faced in the SMW division;

Yet on the other, Kessler is nothing because hasn't fought anybody.

        Make up your minds.
my point was, dawson WON'T fight kessler, b/c he won't move down in weight to fight a nobody.

my other point was, "maybe kessler should fight the top guys in his own weight class, instead of demanding fighters at a higher weight come down to fight you, when you've done nothing to warrant it...."

        get it?

Dawson didnt want to. He said he only wanted it at 175. Kessler agreed to compromise for a catchweight fight which seems the logical solution since seemingly neither man wanted to give up their respective weight advantages.

So you're saying that Dawson ignores those that call him out and instead calls out fighters several weights below him? This makes little sense.

I would hope his next opponent was Dawson - he chose to fight a pointless rematch with Tarver though. Hopkins and Calzaghe dont want to fight him. Jermain Taylor doesnt even want to fight Carl Froch let alone Kessler. Lucian Bute is in hiding after the Andrade fight. So I dont see where all the options are for Kessler.

Which of these fighters could he have conceivably fought?

He has publically shat on the potential fight with Larsen as he did with his last mandatory defence. This doesnt seem like the actions of someone who is happy to be in the position he is.

p.s. he didnt choose any rematch with tarver, tarver had a rematch clause.

Nice demonstration of your laziness leading to ignorance, and just assuming you know all there is to know.

Click the damn link, the names and everything is laid out in plain speak and numbers for you.

I'm willing to bet you don't know the first thing about those guys, or that they were so high in the SMW division.

Kessler has beaten numerous top guys in the division, which is all you can do.

And don't now justify it with SMW is pure ****, he shoulda fought someone else. It wasn't a strong division, but that's mere wild exaggerations, and I've predicted that garbage as your next line of excuses already. He pretty much dominated them all, so heck, if there's numerous of other guys around the weight, why doesn't one come in and nick the belts off him, quite a nice little edition to your resume that. Funny it's not happened despite you kinda making out it'd be so easy.

We know the story - he has an evil promoter who gets him the easiest fights out there for the most money, like Larsen.

                      What a tragedy.

Like I said...one thing I've noticed about fighters who want to fight the best...that usually means they want to get PAID.

                      Antonio Margarito

                      Marvin Hagler

                      Floyd Mayweather

                      Bernard Hopkins

They screamed and screamed about the best, basically because they didn't feel they were getting the big bucks. Once the tables turned, so did they.

I'm a little wary of a guy who is getting paid big bucks to fight chumps. Usually they don't mind that much. But whatever, Kessler's resume over 40-something fights isn't as impressive as his counterparts. Until he steps up (or breaks from his evil promoter), he's a non-entity holding a paper title.
