[QUOTE=Clegg;4686114]Tunney and Warp, perhaps you are both referring to seperate incidents. I don't know why their Jan fight didn't happen, but Wright has turned down Abraham in the past (over a year ago).

The article that I posted was from september and october of 2008. Yours is from January 08. Obviously Wright wanted Abraham by that time.

The fight probably fell apart because of the payday, but Winky clearly wanted Abraham.
How can you possibly know that the source is a lot more reliable????? What if the source was Winky's managers best friend or wife???

AA has no history of pricing himself out. Winky has indeed!

EDIT: And the money for Sturm came from germany. A winky fight would have to be financed from the US and my bet here is that Winky wanted a lot more than 50%.

Did I not just clearly state:

        1) That there were two seperate incidents
        2) That the article was over a year ago

I'm pretty sure that I did.

Look. The original point of the articles I posted showed that Winky wanted to fight Abraham, disproving Tunney's original post of saying that Winky wanted no part of him. The articles were also posted before Hopkins beat the **** out of Pavlik. Abraham's people probably declined due to the fact they wanted a bigger fight with Pavlik or even possibly Sturm.

However posting a "Winky Wright is scared of me" on his official website is not reliable. Whether Wright did price himself out is another thing, but the articles I posted show that Winky Wright wanted a piece of Abraham.

          edit:

My bad I guess, but I'm pretty sure we are reffering to the same incident.

But anyway, how do you all think Abraham will do against the slick, undefeated Philadelphia fighter? The fight is now official.

            I just added a poll.
