    The MMA Threat

For me MMA just dont do it, the only part i enjoy is the striking so obviously id just prefer boxing! Tho i do enjoy watching Brock Lesner. (Awaits the MMA hate)

But the only threat it represents in my eyes is that young potential fighters join MMA rather than boxing. As far as a spectator sport go's i think the two compliment each other. I know some guys that are mad on MMA that have started getting into boxing and no doubt vice versa too. I got Sentanta for the boxing but theres alot of UFC type stuff on there so sometimes i watch that, im sure plenty of people do the samebut the other way around

I thought that card was horrible.

Apart from that Brazilian who fought like an old fashioned english fist fighter and knocked that guy the **** out. That was interesting, I appreciate when they do something interesting.

But the rasslin', I can't see the beauty.

The best bits is when their standing up, well...............boxing

          The UFC 94 one.

Two undefeated Brazilians, one of them was so elusive, had his head pulled back, his chin in the air, his back straight as an arrow....and he kicked some serial arse in there, and didn't get hit once. It was bizarre or, he was not even close to getting hit, the other guy was just chasing him getting his teeth smashed in.

looks like a bad ass in there for sure but thats not the route i wanna go down, im hoping this will be a civil discussion not MMA guys yelling how Fedor or Lidell or whoever would dominate and the boxing guys the same with boxers.

Do u think MMA is a threat to boxings popularity?

MMA just doesn't cut it for me. I've watch a couple of fights trough-out the years. I even watch it when it all started back when it was all about Gracey kicking ass and no gloves. Back then it was just too brutal to be enjoyed for my licking, now I just find it lame in a way. I guess it will continue to grow being some people around that just think of it as the greatest thing ever. But hey, the rest of the world loves football and will be watching derbies today while US will be watching their football with the Superbowl. Neither will ever overtake the other so i'm not concerned about mma overtaking boxing. It will never happen.

was brilliant, I'll watch him again.

You could tell walking in that he was going to kick arse. He looked like he was walking to the beach.
