GBP and HBO has a relationship. If they want Hop to fight Chad then they will make it happen. Which they will. The wales slapper is done fighting and no of the others are in the weight class or attractive enough to get a crack!

I wouldn't mind being proved wrong though.

Cloud is the last guy he'd fight. He wouldn't jump the Showtime ship just to fight Tavoris Cloud. I think Hopkins is most likely.

He'll end up in the ring against Jermain Taylor. HBO wouldn't approve the Cloud fight. Hopkins, Calzaghe, and Kessler all won't fight him for different reasons, and I don't think Chad wants the Johnson rematch. The only hitch could be if Taylor loses whatever fight Showtime puts out for him, maybe against Froch.

I'm sure HBO would love to match him with Taylor, but I don't suppose DiBella would want to move JT up for that.
Hopefully Kessler will be forced to go after it.
Either Hopkins or Calzaghe will kill poor Chad. Those are bad matchups that he doesn't need.

There are two reasons why I really doubt the Taylor fight would happen in 2009. First, from what I understand, Taylor has a three fight contract with Showtime beginning March 28 against Allan Green. Second, even if Taylor were to swing back to HBO it's unlikely he'd go up to 175 for anything other than a HUGE money fight and the Dawson fight won't be a huge money fight until after Dawson beats either Calzaghe or Hopkins or both.
