For me, if hatton wasn't KOed then their fight would be controversial... The thing is hatton was able to kiss the canvass not by the referee but by PBF... If it is a decision and PBF won, then it should be controversial knowing what happend during the fight with a seemingly bias referee... Unfortunately, it was a clear KO, a very clear left hook by PBF...

So what excuse would you give to that? the referee seems like he let PBF do his thing and hatton isn't? The only thing bias to me is when hatton hit PBF on the back of the head and then the referee deducted some of hatton's points...

Joe Cortez is a respected ref, & officiated many championship fights...its natural for a fan to behave like that but we have to be realistic, PBF is too far superior than Hatton even fighting Hatton's style of inside fighting...Hatton relies always on charging & holding but of course he's strong but boxing is not all about that its all about skills used wisely....

            Exactly.

plus on top of the referee business it doesn't help Hatton's case that he probably suffered 1 of the most embarrassing knockdowns in the past 10 years

(head first into a ring post for those that missed it)

so to complain about the referee when Ricky went head first into the corner is laughable.

and on top of all that I've seen boxers hold more then Hatton and get points deducted .. so it's beyond me how Hatton's Never gotten a point deducted in his entire boxing career.

            Very,very true.

              C) So? A KD is a KD. Does a left hook that landed and caused a guy to drop not count now because you think it was grazing and somebody was off-balanced?
That wasn't even his best punch in the fight. His best punch came at the very end of the eighth round while PBF was moving in. Like I said, you don't know **** about boxing. There was no KD! The best you can say about your boy is that he ALMOST knocked him down? Good come back. You win!

i would have to disagree about the fight being controversial only if it had gone the distance, hatton already during the fight looked frustrated,so he already probably thought i have no chance...so it did matter how the ref was acting, which i thought he didn't let hatton fight his fight.
