Cotto is not superman he struggled with an old Mosley who at the time had a crappy conditioning coach and Crappy trainer Jack Mosley. And Cotto lost to Unskilled Margarito.

That fight with Collazo is going to make Berto a better fighter believe me.Every fight is a learning experience.

That fight with Collazo was a good Preparation for elite fighters for Berto.

Cotto is not a complete fighter. Mosley did more body work than Miguel Cotto. Come to think about it, Cotto didn't do ANY body punching because he was under pressure & fought on the run & finally got KO'd by AntFonio MargaCHEATO. Williams didn't get beat like that, Clottey or Mosley & Cotto was supposed to be the best at 147? a threat to PBF? GIVE ME A BREAK. Manny barely got JMM out of there 2wice & he has a chance against a faster, better technical counter puncher than JMM? PLEASE.

    •
Everyone complains about how every fighter ducks this one and that one, and now one (maybe untested) fighter wants to step up the competition and he's ******?

I say, more power to you Berto, much respect and I hope htis fight goes down, as I'd love to see it.
I was thinking the same thing. Why hate on a guy for stepping up? If he fought a second rate fighter next, he would get critisized for that too.

and thats thanx to ****m richardson who gave mosley that game plan. cotto doesn't have a good trainer but give him richardson, and you will see a more complete cotto.

          • Clottey seem to be the odd one out of the picture at the moment for some reason, He has a belt and i dont see why one of this guys cant fight him in a unification bout.

Anyways Cotto/berto sounds good for the WBO/WBC belt then maybe Mosley/Clottey for the WBA/IBF belt since Margarito is suspended at the moment.

              • Dont be mistaken Cotto is still a beast I suspect he will be even better when he comes back. He will dig the body alot (like early in his career) and fine tune his skills. As for the lose to Margarito if he was getting hit by plaster hands the whole fight it probably really wore him down, he could win the rematch. And he also beat Mosley out boxing him alot of the time. Berto is a good fighter but he should fight a few more fights because Cotto would F*** him up bad. Peace

                • I admire Berto's ambition, but he doesn't stand a chance against Cotto. He won't be ready for that kind of opposition for another year at least.

I agreed here, Vargas got expose in the fight against trinidad and then everyone use basically the same gameplan against him.

If berto comes short against Cotto(and he probably will) He will get expose and he'll become the fighter that everyone beats when they need to get set for a big fight....like Vargas

                    • I cant agree more that Cotto vs Berto is like Trinidad and Vargas That's the perfect comparison and Y people say that Cotto is not a complete boxer because he lost to Marg, the only thing Cotto didn't do in the Marg fight was doing his fight like always, because he decided to move more than usual and don't dig the body was all the difference in the fight but wait and watch whats going to happened the next time they meet.
