The term "Greaser" was a racial slur directed at Mexicans, particularly in California and Arizona during the early 1900's. During that time, Mexican's were hired to grease wheel axles; which was considered a very inferior job. It was later, and is still used in different racial contexts, just not as common anymore.

Greaser isn't a racial slur against Mexicans.. there where Greasers of all colors in the 50's. Anyone with some Murray's in their hair, levi jeans and white tees that listened to rock-a-billy was a Greaser. They where also known as Rebels.

Hair grease had nothing to do with the original meaning of the term, in reference to Mexican's anyway.

But Richardson wasn't using the original reference to begin with. Greaser was also a term for WHITE people back in the 50's, they'd also go by hoods and hooligans. Whites and Italians, one might argue that's the same thing, but whatever.

Regardless of all that, I know this may not be so comfortable for everyone to read but let's say he was being racist...... SO WHAT?

Some Mexican's wear GREASE in their hair (I did when I was younger, now I am pelon = shave my head) and that is why we are called greasers, we are also known as grease monkeys because a lot of us are mechanics, we eat a lot of beans so we are called b3aners and so on and so on.

I thought the shiet was funny as phuk when he kept telling Shane to knock the grease off him. You could see the nasty grease from Phoney's mullet fly every time Shane clocked his azz. I guess shane was trying to make sure he knocked off all of the grease because he sure did hit Tony A LOT. LMAO!
