I'm trying to upload a compilation of some interesting SRR clips from the p4p documentary on youtube right now, I'll post the video here when it's up.

in fact Zarate was more of a 118 pounder wasn't he??? I know he lost to Gomez at 122... I don't know much about him though
    That's true.

At heavyweight I would go with Lennox Lewis, he would have been a monster, and not just a monster, he would be a monster with a great jab, tremendous power in his right hand and uppercuts and a good defense, he was tall and big and knew how to use it, he would lean on guys and sap their energy, of all the heavyweights I would say Lennox Lewis with Manny Steward in his corner might be unstoppable.

At cruiserweight I don't think there is a question no one beats Evander Holyfield.

At light heavyweight and middleweight both I would go with prime Roy Jones jr, he did things I never even seen Robinson attempt. Stylistically Bob Foster gives Roy fits at light heavyweight.

At welterweight id like to say Cotto, but I don't think now he would have the fortitude or mental toughness it would take to hang in there. I'm not going to take Manny just because I have not seen enough of him at welter although he would give most of them a run for their money. At welterweight I'm going to go with Floyd Mayweather, I think he would fare better against the welterweights of old then he would against some of the current like Mosley,Cotto or Pacquiao. But Mayweather's slickness and speed would be hard for the less polished greats of old to hit cleanly and effectively. The big problem with Mayweather is we have not seen his resiliency, he has never been pushed to the limit, never had to dig deep to come back and win..and that's really where you separate the men from the boys.

at Lightweight I will take Mosley hands down, he was untouchable, he may have been the fastest lightweight and the hardest hitting with a granite chin. Sugar Shane at lightweight just does not lose.

Below lightweight there is no real fighter who stands head n shoulders above his peers. It seems to go back n forth right now with no one stepping onto the big stage and standing out from the crowd. At least not enough that I would prematurely pick them to beat the all time greats.

Of all those guys I listed, I would say the one who has the best chance of running through the greats of his division would be Sugar Shane Mosley at lightweight, and I don't just say that because of his win Saturday night. At lightweight he was unbeatable, Id almost say Roy Jones Jr at Middleweight but I don't think he gets by Sugar Ray Robinson, Jones Jr just does not seem to have the beard to hang in there.
Mosley had the speed, power, chin, heart and boxing ability to beat the best at lightweight

Too strong and aggressive for sweet pea, too fast for Duran and when Duran did land Shane's chin would hold up well, Chavez would be too hittable and would not be able to force Shane back, Benny Leonard would have been a smaller version of Shane with less power, less speed and would simply be over powered by Shane.

Two guys I see giving Shane trouble would be Alexis Arguello because of the way he used his height and of course a match up between Shane and Aaron Pryor would have been...man...I don't know, but I think Pryor is the only guy who has a shot at out pointing Manny, but It would be close and still Mosley might be just to strong all around for Pryor or any of them, I think Shane is the strongest all round of any fighter at lightweight, at 135 he could bench over 300 lbs, that's just such brute strength at that weight.
I'm confused. You say current fighters and then come up with Lennox Lewis, then Holyfield at CW, which he hasn't made in over 20 years. At the current CW limit you would have to include opposition like Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, Rocky Marciano, Ezzard Charles, Jack Johnson (under 200 till in his 30s), even Muhammad Ali (201 against CooperII, 206 ListonII) and others, no easy feat.

I like Cotto, but there's no way he hangs in there with guys like Hearns or Leonard, and neither would Floyd.
