Early predictions: Wlad vs. Haye

It depends wither Wlad would be able to take Haye's best shot IMO? If he can then Wlad will KO him, but it's gonna be hard enough for Haye to get anywhere near Wlads chin without eating Wlads jabs. It's a mountain to climb for Haye, but there's no harm in trying.

I'm probably Haye's biggest fan on here but i'm not naive! This would be one of the biggest upsets in the history of this sport if Haye pulled it off.

Haye's chances are very slim.

If he attacks, he will get knocked out early. If he sits back and waits for an opening, he will get taken apart.

haye is athletic and skilled to beat wlad on the front foot

he can slip under wlads shots and come over the top with huge sweeping overhand punches that carry A LOT of power

if wlad can keep him away with jabs, wear him down and not get caught he will win this

im counting on hayes good head movement and reflexes to get him past wlads punches, inside the ukrainians reach where he can deliver big power shots and end the fight

it could go either way- thats what happens when you have two big punchers with poor chins, but im banking that haye can get past wlads reach with his reflexes, and wlad will be hoping he can keep david on the end of his straight shots- thats the key to this fight

but ill leave you with this: if a ponderous slug like tony thompson can get close enough to wlad to land some power shots

and guys like sanders etc have been able to stop him

why the hell cant a brilliant young fighter with power, reflexes etc ???

but wlad is still the favourite to win this fight, he is the champ fighting a guy coming up from another division

Yes, it would be an upset. But a big one? Not even close to big. Minor upset at best

I think Haye's evasion will consist mostly of quick, side-to-side slipping of the head and shoulders, whilst Wlad's will be a lurching backward motion of the entire body as well as the head (Vitali seems to do the same thing, except he runs backwards as well!)

Which of those works best remains to be seen, and in the end nobody will know what's going to happen until that bell rings. We've seen enough shockers in the past few months as it is!

Tony Thompson would have a good chance of knocking Haye out.

Thompson did better against WK than Haye will because he is 1) Technically superior 2) He has a better jab+longer reach 3) He has a better defence 4) He has a better chin.

I'm not even a Wlad fan, I just don't give Haye much chance of beating him. Wlad is better in almost every way.

I'm not a big fan of Wlad but even i know he has improved greatly since them losses.

Haye is a Cruiserweight going up to Heavyweight to fight the best fighter in that division since Lennox Lewis.

It would be a very big upset.

It's called pressure. Haye will apply it and Wlad will fold under it.

2 of those have been because of stamina problems. The other one was a hard punching heavyweight who was tall.
