Paul Williams Wants Mosley, Says Margarito is Done

By Rick Reeno - The entire boxing community was watching Shane Mosley's masterful performance against Antonio Margarito last Saturday night. Two members of that community were WBO interim-junior middleweight champion Paul "The Punisher" Williams and his trainer/manager George Peterson. For quite some time, Williams has been trying to secure a rematch with Margarito to set the record straight on which of the two was the dominant fighter at 147-pounds. [details]

I think Williams is wrong if he thinks that he will beat Winky Wright down like how he thinks. Winky whole game plan is jab, jab, jab, Defense, Defense, Defense, Jab, Jab, Jab. I really don't know what to make of Williams. He is tough, has skills & can take a punch but I would like to see him concentrate more on making some noise in 1 division first and getting his stats up. Don't understand why he didn't fight Clottey & get that belt, then go for the rest & unify. A fight between him & Mosley would be interesting but Mosley can be beat if you have a good jab, cause Mosley cannot get into a good rhythm with a fighter/Boxer that can out box him without brawling. If you don't allow Mosley in then he has no answer & we all witnessed that with Forrest & Winky twice. Cotto used boxing strategy & a jab that humbled Mosley at times. That's why I feel Mayweather would beat Mosley because even though Mosley is fast & has more power than PBF, he just doesn't display much defense & gets off balance & misses punches wide sometimes which would cost him against a defensive counter fighter like Floyd who will make Mosley work to land anything significant. The more Mosley works to catch PBF I can see him tiring out.
Williams just seems like he is looking for a big fight but he should be fighting whoever he has to because it's obvious that he is not as big as he think he is.

Paul should be only concerned with Winky. Quintana gave him his first "L" with some good strategy, Winky can out-do that and with less physical disadvantage.

Quintana barely beat a green Williams and was comatose after one round in the rematch. Paul would beat all of those guys. But none of them will fight him because Arum knows better. If Arum had Paul he would be promoting him as the best fighter in the last decade.

I dont know what PW is smoking but i did not see a single thing from his game plan or cottos in the fight. Cotto got ktfo and Pw got a descision,neither came close to hurting marg.

PW shouldnt be at 147 IMO and why even worry about Tony when you already beat him. Tony should of been looking for you.
