This would matter had he ended up somehow recovering and winnin the fight, thus robbin SSM of a victory he shoulda gotten. But he got KTFO 4 sho the next rd, so If you hate Marg so much, I'm surprised you weren't happy you got to see him take some more unnecessary punishment.

Margarito was out of it by the first knockdown.

If the round had continued he would have been stopped. This is easily evidenced by the fact that was unable to recover within the 1 minute break, and was stopped shortly after. That said, the round did end, and he survived it. So no, it should not have been stopped at that time, which would have only led to controversy. Perhaps his corner should have stopped it between rounds though, although it was against the fighter's wishes.

Yeh Margarito was saved by the bell at the end of the 8th did u guys see he was out of it on his stool if that was at the start of the round it would of been brutal

He was done after that, the only reason the referee didn't stop the fight was probably because he heard the 10 second bell so he knew Margarito would get a chance to recover, I knew he wouldn't last the 9th though after seeing his face in the corner, and he may not have even remembered going back out there and getting knocked out by the way he was talking in the post fight interview.
