Mosley passed the lie detector test which did indicate that he didn't know what he was taking.. Margarito knew his hands where being wrapped illegaly.

Lets not talk about Margarito for now. Just in general there is cheating and breaking rules and there is breaking Taboo's.

Every sport has its own Taboo. For example, football/baseball players this year and probably next year are going to have stuff like,

Late hitting/Cheap Shots/guys trying to intentionally injure other guys. Tested positive for drugs, steroids or masking agents, hell even murder trials...etc

These are all breaking the rules but they are nothing compared to if a player was caught breaking the Taboo rule of these sports i.e. found guilty of Point Shaving, Throwing games, ******** on games you played or participated in. Why then he would be completely ostracized.

Look at Pete Rose. One of the very very very best players to ever play the game. But bet on Baseball, life time ban. Having foreign substance(s) in your gloves and loading them is a boxing Taboo not just a rule.

Mosley never failed the piss test and was therefore, never actually caught cheating. The **** hit the fan when Balco was investigated.

Margarito on the other hand, was caught trying to cheat with loaded wraps, red-handed. There is really no wiggle room on his part to play the dullard.
