I love how some are ready to hang, draw and quarter Margarito for his alleged attempt to cheat, whereas Mosley's proven use of illegal steroids is excused away.

On Mosley; first, he admitted to injecting himself with EPO, which puts him in the same bracket as disgraced drugs cheats like Marion Jones and Ben Johnson. In my view, he's lucky he's still allowed to box at this level. He says he didn't know what he what he was doing, but I personally find that hard to believe. Most others caught up in the BALCO scandal have admitted they knew what they were doing, and Victor Conte, too, claims Mosley knowingly took the illegal steroids.

Second, passing a polygraph test is usually not admissible as evidence in court, so that alone doesn't prove his innocence. Third, he didn't volunteer the information, he was testifying before a grand jury and had the choice between coming clean or perjuring himself.

One is a proven cheat, the other deserves the benefit of the doubt for now.
