It's simple: Cotto ruined Margarito

It wouldn't have mattered if Tony came into the ring without gloves, he couldn't even hit Shane. It's obvious that Shane is simply stronger than Cotto (juice lol) that's why Shane was able to stand in front of Tony for much of the fight, force Tony back, land those big shots etc where Cotto was forced to run for as long as he could. I wouldn't give Cotto any credit for what happened tonight, and I think that Tony will beat Cotto again if they rematch.

EDIT: I'm not sayin that juice helped Shane win the fight, just that Shane is stronger than Cotto lol before anyone gets offended.

Cotto has always had a questionable chin unlike Mosley.... Cotto just doesn't react well to getting hit compared to other elite fighters with granite chins.

im not taking away anything from shane. he completely dominated . reason i said this was cause weve seen marg gets tagged so much and next fight he was the same. ex. santos, cintron, etc. but shane owned him so easily.

Yeah it really is a hell of a coincidence that while everyone was saying his chin would get better when he moved up, he was implementing more and more boxing into his style lol
He took a pretty bad beating though and didn't get KO'd clean against Marg, showed alot of heart.

Exactly what I thought. It was kinda soon but it came.

Cotto CRACKED Margarito's chin. Look at it, Mosley knocked Margarito out in a fashion NOBODY thought was possible. Did you think it was? Nope, I didn't. I felt fight by fight Margarito's chin would decline and it has. Cotto threw hell of power shots that Margarito now regrets he took. But credit to Mosley [ I WAS GOING FOR HIM WOO ] he did his gameplan, and was MACHO about it.

I picked mosley to win by tough UD, but I guess I was wrong. I knew he would trade some bombs with Marg and he showed he was the stronger man. Marg is too slow for Shane to try and trade with Shane's fast Power punching. He brought back some of that speedy combination punching that he hasn't used in quit sometime now. Shane knocked Marg out because Marg couldn't take too many of those Speedy punches he couldn't see coming.

Also Cotto's punches although powerful, they are more a thumping shot.
Mosley's power punches have much more Pop and speed and it don't matter who you are, if you get hit enough you will go down.

Shane even at 37 is still the man.

He has been wobble by 2 fighters at 140 and down before the Margo fight non. Matter of facts he have never been down, he took the knees agasint margo and against Torres he got push to the ground. Miguels chin is not a type A chin but us a very decent one!!!!!!!!!!

Two reasons this fight went the way it did....

1. All the headshots Marg ate in his career....especially the ones he took against Cotto in his last fight....did INDEED catch up to him. He showed the classic signs of being somewhat worn or on the decline....his chin was not AS solid, and he was slower than ever....that was obvious.

2. Shane Mosley was the real "BEAST" in there tonight...he was unafraid and all business......he did EXACTLY what he needed to do....which was use all of his Boxing skills to the best of his ability...with ferocity.


Regardless of those two points....Shane Mosley had the capacity to blast Margarito out even before Marg's fight with Cotto...

The better man won....

and Margarito and his fanatics' names are MUD.

Shane deserves all of the credit in the world. This had nothing to do with Cotto. As stated before others have been able to hit Margarito. Shane just has more power than Cotto and is stronger.
