is Hatton deserving of a mayweather rematch?

does anyone else think hatton deserves a rematch with pbf if the pacman fight doesnt happen, if ricky had stopped lazcano and paulie early and convincingly and the for arguements sake battered manuel marquez then i could see a case for a rematch especially as floyd hasnt had a fight for over a year and his skills may have diminished, but as the situation stands i just cant see why the fight would happen, i know hattons loyal fans would buy the fight on ppv and follow him to the states to provide the revenue for the fight, but it just seems a bit pointless to me, what do u guys think?

If Ricky gets his rematch it'll be nothing to do with who deserves what, just a chance for he and Floyd to pad their respective bank balances. But imo it would be pointless. Floyd won last time because he's the superior fighter, it was evident throughout the contest, and he'd win if they fought again, because he's still the superior fighter. Cortez is incompetent, but it's ****** for Ricky to claim that's why he lost.

In any case, Floyd has a multitude of top welters he should be facing, Ricky should be fighting the other champs at 140, and Pac should be cleaning out 135.

hatton would have to do something very impressive to get floyd to rematch him.

From PBF prespective this fight really means nothing, but it does make sence for Hatton to atleast make it appear as if he is trying to avenge his loss. I could see this fight happeaning if Hatton wins in May.

Mangler why do you always beat the dead horse of Floyd only needing to fight 147 pound fighters. That is all you ever bring up like a broken record, there is a lot more to boxing then the 147 pound division and that is not the only division where Floyd fought in (I do not know if Floyd can still fight in other divisions or not but if he can fight in other weightclasses be it lower or higher it really should not matter that much aslong as he fought good opposition).

deserving? i wouldn't be talking about deserving when you are going bankrupt.
when you are bankrupt there is no deserving..

So Floyd should take this fight because it would be easy money? I assume your talking about Floyd going bankrupt since I have never heard anything of the sort related to Hatton.

Hatton only has 1 loss, if he catches loss 2 he deserves a rematch much less, but aslong as that is his only loss, it is always a decent option to try and avenge your only loss (most people don't believe he is up to the task though, but as long as Hatton believes he can win why not?).
