I'm not saying he didn't get beat down, I'm just saying that was a well known "ONE punch KO" for Hopkins. It's an example of a ONE punch KO most people are familiar with....

Hopkins does now and back in the day had more power too.

Neither really has one punch KO power but you can see hopkins still knocks guys down and has a lot of pop to his punches. He hurt kelly numerous times, knocked down calzaghe and Tarver. Back in the day though hopkins KO'd a lot of people. I'm sure calzaghe also hit a lot harder before he had hand problems but it was never on the level of bhop

Very good point... I really haven't tried to track down vintage Calzaghe fights to see how most of his KO's came. If they were TKO's, I'm sure he jost wore people down like he did Lacy. But in the Lacy fight, you can see Joe confuse the hell out of him with slaps... and then right in the middle of a flurry he turns his punches over and cracks Lacy's ass!

slappy had good punching power in the earlier days. he knocked guys out with 1 punch..tho they were bums.

I'd say the same as Timba. Before the damaged hands, Calzaghe probably hit harder. These comparisons between fighters like "who hits harder, X or Y" are obviously just guesses, it's not possible to say for sure unless you've been in the ring with both of them.

Ok, I'm talking about the single cause that took Tito off his feet and put him on his ass. First, I'm not saying anything BAD about Hopkins. So theres no need to rally your defenses. And that youtube clip IS boxing! I've seen the entire fight and B-Hop was in control. But the knockout was not the result of a flurry, nor was Tito staggered when Hopkins threw it. He was standing toe to toe with Bernard and he got countered by a short right hand that caught him right on the chin. It was a single punch.
