Why are Hopkins fans still in so much denial? Was it a close fight? Sure it was but Calzaghe clearly won the fight. I also honestly believe that Hopkins might have been stopped if not for the phantom low blows.

I doubt Joe left the ring thinking "Wow, I lost that fight so I'm soooo glad that 2 of 3 judges made a huge mistake giving the fight to me"

If it's even the least bit close, most fighters will swear they won... listen to Lacy after Taylor, of Hopkins after Taylor. It was close, but Joe won. Hopkins may have the opportunity to redeem himself in a rematch, but Joe did enough to win the first one.
