    those guys that bench 800 lbs only weight 200 ish or less,

    I was exagerating though, him pressing over 300 is a little absurd, but he's surely in the high 200's.

    the record is what 1110 or something?

    EDIT: did some quick research, some olympians are lifting 5 times their own weight.
    I did some aswell bench pressing more than 2x your own weight requires a spacific training regime purely weight lifting nothing else.

    3x has only ever been achived by guys with no legs.

    bench press has a lower lift/weight ratio because you are only lifting with your arms, where as cling and jerk/Snatch uses mostly back and legs.

    The current official record for the clean and jerk in the men's 105+ kg class is held by Hossein Rezazadeh of Iran, who clean and jerked 263.5 kg
    world record for manny weight (70kg)

    Snatch Georgi Markov (BUL) 165 kg
    Clean & Jerk Zhang Guozheng (CHN) 197 kg

    Neither are 3x body weight let alone 5x.

    *edit not literally no legs, I mean guys with matchsticks for legs and huge upperbodies.

        here are some guys in the 400lb pench press club (how sad is THAT?) that I stumbbled across...

        http://www.criticalbench.com/400benchclub.htm

        I have no doubt manny benches silly amounts, I bet boxers have insane lift/weight ratios.

          I disagree on most of the above.

          Speed = Pacquiao. Easily.
          Footwork = Pacquiao. Easily.
          Lateral movement = Pacquiao. Easily.
          Agility = Pacquiao. Easily.
          Workrate = Possibly even
          Stamina = Pacquaio
          Accuracy = Pacquiao by far
          Defense = Pacquaio
          Heart = I can't say either has less or more than the other
          Chin = I don't believe Pacquiao would have been wobbled by Lazcano
          Power = Hatton's power might actually be a bit over rated
          Larios wobbled Pac.....

              Pacquiao's actual only legit loss was a close fight with Morales when he was green. He avenged that loss 2 times.

              he got knocked out once when he was 16, by an adult (he weighed 98 lbs on fight night, used metal plates to make weight). The other time was a low blow, called a body shot. Watch the fight if you don't believe me.

              People seem to think this is the same Pacquiao that lunges in and throws only 1 punch, he has since developed into a much much better fighter. The Odds of Pacquiao getting stopped are slim to minimal the guy recovers so fast & has so much heart.

                  Probably the same. At the end of the day unless your James Toney any fighter can get wobbled at any given time. There is no way on earth that Lazcano would have stopped Hatton, the same with Larios and Pac. As for the 'shoelace incident'' if you watch it again, LAzcano was out on his feet, and came stubling across the ring like a drunk - if anything Ricky would have probably have stopped him.

                    dont matter how much he can lift coz it wont make a diffrence come fight night, its a boxing bout not a weight lifting contest

                      I'm not in anyway questioning his general fighting heart but.....in the second Marquez fight when he got cut it looked to me that Pac wanted to quit - go and watch it again. Against Skinny Hussain it the same thing - only he wasn't cut, just been bashed about - again go and watch the tape.

                      Ricky would rather die then quit.
