why is not a question of money? that is exactly what this is. Hatton brings the value - it is that simple. I agree with all of the arguments that Pacquiao is the more accomplished fighter, has had better recent results, has been in the bigger fights recently, is p4p #1 etc but at the end of the day Hatton brings more money to the table. This is a business. Fight Hatton and Pacman will get around $20m. Fight Valero he will get $3m-$5m. Hatton could fight Valero (or anyone) in Manchester in front of 80,000 and still get around $10m. So Pacman (financially) needs Hatton more than Hatton needs him.

He doesn't have the balls, Valero would eat him alive in front of English fans. Apparently Hatton is also using the 'money excuse" not to fight Pacman. Pacman called him straight out has Hatton answered yet?

How dare Schaefer talk like that, he's pressuring & blindfolding people like an aristocratic ****...I agree with Sulaiman's point of view...and i admire & even gain more respect to Pacquiao to stand firm to his decision of what he believes is only fair to both...it is not only about money but its what MANNY'S worth about...its only a matter of pen to grab it but what matters most is RESPECT of what his worth...MANNY's accomplishments speaks for himself, he earned it in a hardway, explosiveness, courage, skills, power, speed, etc. [MORALES(3X), BARRERA(2X), MARQUEZ(2X), DELA HOYA(devastated), DIAZ(crashed), LEDWABA, etc.] to become the Pound 4 Pound King(undoutedly), Champion in 4 weight division & most interesting fighter today...

How dare you compare him to HATTON who is even not included in the Pound 4 Pound list by this respected site Boxingscene.com & also in other sites like Yahoo Boxing, ESPN Boxing, etc. only in the Ring #10...and CRASHED by MAYWEATHER by KNOCK OUT who only managed to win by split to OSCAR who was devastated by PACQUIAO....his fight with MALIGNAGGI is not a PPV success...and his style of boxing was always holding, hugging, wrestling, oh what a sissy fighter...is he worth equal to PACQUIAO??? I just don't see how the person who brings in the least amount of money to the table gets the bigger slice of the money. That **** makes no $en$e to me. IMO 50/50 is a great offer.

Two people go into business together but the face of the company has less start up money than the other guy. How can you really justify being paid more than your partner when you put up less money?

Ive changed my view on Manny not accepting the bid... He's entitled to more money. They should give into to the 55-45 purse bid.

respect for manny. at first i was pissed on him calling off this fight, not taking the 50-50 but he has a valid point. ricky maybe the man at jr. welter, but manny is the man in boxing.

its these **** promoters who are killing boxing. both pac and ricky wants this fight, but their promoters are the ones who are greedy and only looking on their best interest.
