If this is the case, how come Connecticut has NOBODY??? As soon as Chad Dawson broke out of the bowels of the local scene, he got the hell out of CT and moved on to greener pastures.

Connecticut has some fairly sizeable metropolitans. From the past two decades, I can't think of one decent fighter, aside from Dawson (and I think he was actually bred in Florida) to come out of this state, which seems to be such a huge boxing community. There's Bridgeport, New Haven, Hartford.

I grew up in Massachusetts. At least we've had Hagler and Ruiz. Connecticut just seems to breed pansies and nobodies. Why is that?
i thought Cintron was from Connecticut...no??

Cintron is not from CT. I forget where he's from but I thought it was somewhere in the South.

WTF do I need to do to get my profile pic to appear with these posts?

You better hope that Iceman Scully doesn't see this post. He's one of the best trainers in America, is from Connecticut and has a ton of good fighters.

Delete this thread if you can
There's gonna be hell to pay.

Thank you for the previous post because I wanted to start my morning off with a good laugh. I said in my original post that Connecticut is full of nobodies and pansies. Scully is both.

I think you need to delete your last post before people laugh you right off this board.

No one thought of Willie Pep? One of the greatest of them all was from Connecticut.

You're absolutely right. Willie Pep was one of the all-time greats...that's kind of why I started this thread. Pep is an old-timer, but name one guy from 1980-and-on who has been any good???
