The problem with talking about this is that you have the people that more or less understand the business end of things and then you have fans blinded by the love of their favorite fighter. Pac should take the deal. Thats obvious. Only people who don't feel that way are Pac fans that are blinded by their love for him. Look at it this way folks, Oscar has always been the draw no matter who he fought and what they accomplished. He just brings in more revenue. Hatton is similar in the sense that his opponent may be ranked higher or may have accomplished more but Hatton still brings the revenue.So all the talk of Hatton pricing himself out or just taking less for legacy is silly. I think him budging at all is his way of showing that he wants to fight for legacy. Your favorite fighter can be wrong too. Doesn't mean he should stop being your favorite fighter, just means hes human.

Tit for tat

For me it's TIT FOR TAT- Both fighters lose out on maybe one of the or the biggest paydays of their career. I don't like how Pacquiao is demanding more than a 50/50 split, just because he beat Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar De La Hoya was the biggest draw in boxing, however that doesn't mean that if you beat him your given that power. It doesn't work that way. Hatton has been in the game for a long time. And has fought his fair share of great fighters. Also, it was said by both promoters that a 50/50 split was agreed upon before all kinks were going to be worked out in the contract.

I definitely agree. Greatest boxer/fighter was Muhammed Ali. Oscar De La Hoya is the highest grossing boxer/fighter in terms of only money. To me Oscar De La Hoya was more of a entertainer.
