Wow, really dissapointed by this, to be onest even do i think Manny was intitled to more he should of just took the 50/50 split, that would of been well enough money, and its a fight he could win, and which would be good for his legacy to hand Hatton his 1st ever loss at 140, his grind got in the way of all this.

heres how i read it....shortly after dlh manny stated he would like to take an extended break approx 6 or so months. almost immediately mr arum announced may 2nd with either hatton or mayweather and freddie states that he wants pacman back training within a couple of months and keep the momentum. both promoter and trainer have seemingly ignored the fighters feelings and wishes.

Nice try, but I'm afraid that is not at all convincing. Manny did not say he didn't want the fight, he just said he wanted more money. And contrary to many of the posts on here, he was offered a considerably better deal than Hatton was offered, partly because he was offered 100% of the Filipino TV Rights money, which was worth several million, whereas he was getting 50% of the much larger UK PPV; partly because he was offered a far larger guaranteed purse than Hatton was offered; and partly because of the 52/48 split that he turned down this week.

Also, Arum says that Manny originally agreed to the 50/50 deal and then changed his mind later.

Manny just ***'d himself, its going to be funny to see how much he's going to make without Hatton, I doubt Floyd is coming out of retirement and as for Oscar, he's done, so with that being said, who else out there brings in money like that? Maybe Cotto(i doubt) in NY @ MSG but Cotto, imo, would whip Pac badly....

Hope Pac's ready for $2-3mill fights, which is fine, but 15 mill guarantee and after PPV and all other funds come in, it would be close to 30 mill, Pac's a mu***in fool for that one.........

A lot of these posts are getting way beyond rediculous.Lets get one thing straight.Hatton has never ducked anyone,in fact he has gone out of his way to chase the main men.People have short memories,remember it wasnt such a long time ago that pacman was on the outside looking in,earning 6 figure purses and getting fleeced by the army of bumlickers taken in by him.both are superstars,both are box office and both deserve an equal share of the pot.the reality of this is,is that if pac doesnt fight Hatton,and floyd decides to stay retired,or fight again but not fight pac,then pac will earn nowhere near what he would earn for this fight.Hatton on the other hand will continue to earn massive purses regardless of who he fights and lets face it,he isnt exactly short of options as he can clean up lw again or have another run at welter,where he will find plenty of people willing to fight him because of the money it will earn them.Also lets assume that pacman then does the right thing and fights JMM again(which he damn well should!),how much do you reckon he is going to earn for that? 3/4m$ tops! And dont tell me that Margarito,Williams or Cotto are realistic options..well unless you want to witness a murder perhaps! MAKE IT HAPPEN PACMAN! Good post and I totally agree. You don't thousands of Filipino's flying from the Phillipines to come and watch Pacquiao in the states. On the contrary, Hatton fans flock in thousands to come to the states. I think the win against De La Hoya has gotten to Pacquiao's head. Hey even Arum said it, if Pacquiao doesn't agree to the fight, he'll be back to making 2-3 million a fight.
