I didn't see all that much adapting from Berto, I saw Collazo running out of steam and dropping his hands though, which is around the time Berto started winning rounds. I dont see how a seasoned olympian who just fought a slick southpaw in Steve Forbes still needs to get used to fighting southpaws. I agree with you on him having a tremendous heart though.
There's another important thing you cant teach and thats having a chin, defense would help but I havent seen him develop in that department much and Ive been following Berto since he turned pro. I sure hope the Mayweathers find time for him though
The thing is Berto is good fighter but just entered the division at the wrong time, otherwise I think he wouldve been able to beat a lot of natural welterweights. Its not just Tony and Williams, Clottey has tipped the unofficial scales at 160 as well and Cotto is a tremendous puncher at this weight.
