I do like Roach's quote above, and appreciate Arums diplomacy on this issue, and comments on Pacman. That team has been rather un professional and come to think of it, he does like to kick up a stink about pot shares to the media. It's odd when he passes himself of as someone not caring too much about money, more of the sport and giving back to it and the community, charity and such. He'll probably sign one of the 55-45 and less UK PPV, or 52-48 deals, but even then his reputation has been damaged here, contrary to Roach and Arums best efforts.Comment

What a ridiculous post.
There's been justified and constructive criticism of Pacuaiao all over the internet and these forums many of which fans like me, and from very reliable respectable posters. Doesn't go particularly far, just expressing disappointment in he and his teams greed and way of going about things, which his own promoter and trainer also express.
And you say to all them, I can't accept your opinions, your all wrong and idiots, and that your right?Last edited by Kris Silver; 01-20-2009, 02:00 PM.Comment

everybody is entitled to their opinions. I've always said 50-50 is fair but 60-40 is what pac deserves. this is all negotiation and some people go too far with their criticisms.
if you were in pac's situation what would you do?
the exact same thing!!

If I was in Pac's situation I would not do the same no, what a silly comment. I would have accepted 50/50 as my promoter had said it up for that, and it's a very fair deal given what each bring to the table. And I'm more of a fan of his than Hattons btw.
He got like 32% or thereabouts against one of the biggest draws in the sport in ODL, how is 60-40 in the complete opposite direction against another one of the sports biggest draws, and bigger earners now justified? Especially given for this fight, Pac in his first visit to the division, is being given a shot to take the belt and #1 spot in it, from the main top guy in said division?
This is also by far the biggest potential fight and earner out there for him too, and he's risked been fickle and risked losing it. Team Hatton were promised a deal and aren't getting it, unlike Pac for awhile at least, they're willing to be reasonable and negotiate despite that.
Don't submit ****** posts like anyone suggesting Pac has lost just SOME reputation are idiots when lots of people have suggested it, even Arum and Roach, and then ironically have the audacity to say everyone's entitled to their opinion.Comment

You start your sentence by saying everyone is entitled to their opinion. But when a common, constructive and respectable one was made before, you replied generalising all people seeing Pacman as having lost some reputation as idiots. Slight contradiction.

at the end of the day this will all be forgotten. you're making a big huff about nothing. only idiots cry over nothing.Comment

He has no choice? You do realize that Hatton can sell out anywhere in the UK against bums and still make a killing? He can fight pert-near anyone and pack out a stadium. He brings more dollars than Pacman no matter who says otherwise, including Manny's lawyer. Hatton is basically the new Oscar except he is coming from the UK to do it here and show he is versatile and willing to fight anyone, anywhere. Sure Manny has come here but has not been a big draw up to this point. He is lucky to do better than 50% and should take the fight. He will regret this payday if he doesn't.Comment

Your rep power is equal to the age you are acting. And I'm not sure who ever gave you green K anyhow. You are neither intellegent nor objective without bias.Comment

I lost all the respect I had for Pac in the last week. So much so that I hope Hatton or Pac pulls out of the fight because I don't want Pac to get this kind of huge payday. I wont even buy the PPV if the fight still happens, which I hope it doesn't. I want to see Pac fight anyone else with his greedy demands and see what he's really worth.Comment
