His largest purse to date is $1.6 million against Cotto so it's safe to say Winky would have been his biggest payday by far at that time. He fought 2 fights in 2006, Manuel Gomez and Joshua Clottey, I'm not sure when discussions were going on.

Marg is no different from any other fighter who looks at money and the possibility of losing going into a fight. This guy can walk through anything because he is fighting at welterweight, we saw what happened when he felt power just 7 pounds up in Santos. I've never found BPP to be biased against Margarito and he's probably more 'in the know' than you are, no offense.

Anyways, there's proof that Winky offered Margarito his biggest payday to date but Margarito turned it down so show me your proof and I'll believe you, although your story is believable because I do remember something like that happening, Winky was always stingy with his purses as well.
