Pac brings more legacy to this deal than Hatton ever will. All Hatton has to offer is a big payday really. If anyone's career is in dire need of a legacy booster shot in the arm... it's Ricky's.

Pac is willing to risk a bundle by holding out for a wad? Nah... he doesn't give a B.S. about short change, and if he's willing to let the deal fall through because of it, then it shows he's ready to move on without Hatton and his money making machine.

He's aware if he concedes to the 50/50 sharing, he'll forever remain a pushover in the negotiating table like Oscar forced him to take 32%. He's just being smart. He knows it's his time to call the shots.

      The f@ck it does.

All it means is he wants to get paid, nothing more, nothing less.

He feels he's worth more than Hatton and hes acting the part.

Manny is ruining his legacy. I mean damn... his legacy was already is doubt before this fight with Hatton. All he did was four world titles in four different weight divisions in addition to being the p4p best in the world. I mean he has ducked everyone...

Yeah, he is petrified of Valero, that part is true
even if valero is 30-0 with 30 ko's, pac will never fight him.

What are you talking about? Both David Diaz and Erik Morales were less than two years older than him, hardly the needy of a nursing home.

Yes, Pac has faced some old competition (like Barrera and JMM), but nobody gave him a chance against MAB in the first fight and he fought to a draw and a SD against JMM, all three fighters in their primes at the time.

Pac should settle on 55/45, but I don't blame him for not wanting to seem like a push over. He's finally got a shot to make some real money and he should't let Hatton dictate the terms.

I think the point is that he never fought the best at 122,126,135,147 but that's ok.
He did go 1-1 against JMM. He just never fought guys that were better than Morales and Barrera and less miles on them and were champs of those divisions at the time.

But that turned out to be smart because he made more money the way his promoters did it.

The third Morales was fight was simply for money (Morales had lost to Raheem and had looked like **** ). same with second Barrera fight (had already lost to JMM and was on the decline for a while. Diaz was the champ the weakest champ of 135.

I think his legacy comes from his battles with JMM and the first Barrera fight.

I don't blame him for kicking DLH's ass and making that money. DLH was as usual full of **** and made me lose money on that one.

That was actually the first time I ever rooted against Pac.

If Pac cares that much about a few million dollars he obviously doesn't care about his legacy or the sport of boxing. Hatton not accepting less than 50% is the right move simply on pride and whats fair when it comes to drawing power. Get bent Money Pac. Have fun fighting Valero infront of 9000 people.
I don't think the fight with Hatton is about legacy. Hatton is not someone you fight for legacy, not since his embarassing ass whoopin' at the hands of Gayweather. The Manny - Ricky fight is all business.

It is Ricky Hatton's fault if the fight does not happen. He is the one desperate to fight Pacquiao for his legacy. Also, he is using the old "rich country, poor country" recruiting routine, in which rich nations pay foriegn empolyees significantly less than the citizens. However, Manny is already a rich man and doesn't have to "jump for the OPPORTUNITY" to fight Hatton. If Manny was British he would have gotten 60-40 easily.
