    I thought Collazo won.

I had it 6-6 in rounds on my card, but with the point deduction from Berto in round 4 for holding he loses via 114-113.

Bill Clancy should be barred for life from ever judging again. His card means that he scored 9 rounds for Berto! That, my friends, is complete corruption and or incompetence.

Obviously, Collazo should not have done worse than a draw. It was clear to me, clear, and the rounds were not hard to score if you know what you are looking at - that Collazo won rounds 1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10.

But don't blame Berto, he ain't the judges.

Now, whether someone's palms got greased is another issue.

With a score of 116-111 from Clancy, I would have to say 'Yeah, someone's palms got greased.'

      LOL @ 116-111

      I had Collazo 115-113

As I've stated before, Berto leaves himself wide open when he gets in exchanges. He's a tough kid no doubt, he took some hard shots from Collazo (who isn't known for his power)

But man, now I'm really wondering how he's going to look against the top tier of the division. I see Berto getting stopped by Cotto & Margarito. He had a tough time with Collazo who pressured him all night and then to face guys like Cotto or Marg who are bigger and stronger pressure fighters?

Disappointing decision IMO, but **** it...let's keep it movin

Berto fought a good quality opponent and did well but i felt he lost close decision.

Berto is still young and can learn from his mistakes.

People have to consider the fact that this division is loaded with talent and none of these top guys is going to look good against each other.

Just like Cotto did`nt look good Against Mosley, and lost to Margarito.

9 times out of 10 when a good quality opponent fights another good quality opponent neither guy is going to look good.

Collazo is an underrated opponent in my opinion and would give any of the top Welterweights problems.

It amazes me how you Hatton fans can find any opportunity to try and redeem your boy with that whole Cortez argument time after time. That fight is ancient history. Let it go-o-o! The argument MIGHT makes some sense if it was a split-decision, but he got KTFO man! Do you understand the words that I'm typing here? K to the T to the F to the O!

                Got To Destroy a Champ

A challenger can't really unseat a champ with a close decision - he has to soundly defeat him. And Callazo may have squeaked by to the common scorer but he didn't hurt Berto in the last rounds. Callazo scored points but Berto was landing the occassional punishing power shot. I really liked the how Callazo on the ropes really worked Berto over with uppercuts and hooks. Berto should not have gone inside like he did. Now he knows better?

                  the powers that be...

HBO and all involved did their job in keeping their fighter undefeated. callazo deserved the decision; he dominated berto for most of the fight. no way that fight depended on the tweflth round. how often do we see HBO fighters lose unless it is a knockout. no way berto's people give callzo a rematch. berto had no clue how to deal with the southpaw stance. people are going to be lining up to fight berto now; he has been exposed !!!!

"when fighting against the house fighter, you got to get a knockout to get a draw"

boxing is all about who is behind you (i.e network, promoters etc..) HBO stands to make more money with a berto win than a collazo win; it's a no brainer. who's life was profiled before the fight? berto's. it was his showcase.

I couldn't believe the decisions when I heard it, I thought they were going to Collazo. He won that fight man, they even deducted a point from Berto! It was a great fight and to watch regardless but I think Collazo did enough to take that title. Berto's got a lot of heart but he was taking a lot of shots. When he boxed, he did well, but he kept getting dragged into Collazo's inside-fight and he would get caught everytime. He definitely needs more experience before fighting the top guys in the welterweight division.

I hope they have a rematch, but Collazo will probably get screwed over again in that one.

The judge who had 116-111 should be ***** slapped in public.

I agree you should take the title from the champion ,but come on Collazo did so in dramatic fashion he punished the champion by landing the more telling shots and dominating him from the inside out, Berto had an ocassional rally, but rounds are 3 minutes and Collazo eoutworked him with 90+ punches in rounds 9 and 10 and hitting Berto more times in one round than he was every hit in his entire career. Collazo should face P.Williams since now both will be heavily avoided. That should be a helluva of match-up.
