Jack Johnson also fought in that kind of heat didn't he. The Jess Willard fight -- again 105 degrees. 26 rounds!
I'm surprised Johnson held out as long as he did. What a tough son-of-a-***** he was.

Right, thanks for clarification of the size of Robinson.

It certainly would have been an interesting fight, for sure.

I'm not even sure he knows who he's talking about, bro.

People here need to brush up on their history a bit. I mean damn, I'm no Bert Sugar but if you follow boxing and don't know Ray Robinson's natural weightclass, something's wrong with you.

Anyone can be beaten any day as shown when Turpin (another Brit) defeated Ray Robinson, it wouldn't a walk in the park for Ray Robinson. Robinson's best days were at Welterweight, which is a shame there is not many if any videos of him at that weight. Are we talking 12 or 15 rounds here to? im not so sure about picking Robinson, it would be a heck of a fight, if only!

Robinson was ahead of his time with actually "boxing" rather than just charging in and punching, but not on the level that fighters are today.
                    Dude.... seriously..... come on.
Anyone who is truly and seriously picking Calzaghe needs to learn a whole lot about boxing history.
And the "styles make fights" argument is hilarious in this instants.

                      Robinson started at light weight......

I mean, to even have this question up, is a disservice to Robinson.
How about Joe versus Holyfield at LHW?
