Pac went for history when he fought Diaz to earn the lightweight title and become the first fighter from Asia to have titles in 4 weight classes.

I figured this fight had a good chance of falling through. Neither fighter needs the other as they are each extremely popular and two of the biggest draws in all of boxing. Thus I knew if one of them got a little too greedy about the revenue split the other would pull out of the match and move on.

I agree; however, Pacman needs to make up his mind. Give up the belt or take a challenge. How long has it been since he fought at 135?

Again, its not about greed, its about what that boxer or any athlete feel they are worth in their prospective sport. A writer in Philboxing.com made a reference to Lebron James and Yao Ming. You wouldn't see Lebrong James getting paid the same as Yao Ming, just because of how much Yao's chinese supporters brings in to the sport of basketball, rather its about how much that athlete is worth to that sport. You can also relate that to Actors and Actresses, not just in sports. You don't see A list actors getting paid the same as B list actors.

yeah manny is getting way too greedy. he'll be a fool to walk away from this fight. he knows theres no bigger than hatton to fight so he needs to take this fight. it wouldnt make sense for him to back and defend his title for alot let less money. He should fight hatton and go back down to 135 to defend his title. that'll be the smart move but its up to manny

I'd say they both retire right now and stop taking us fans for another roller coaster ride. I am sure Valero vs. JMM, or Cotto vs Berto will be just as exiting, David Haye vs Dr. Steel Hammer, Arce vs Darchi, etc...I don't care if they don't fight, I will not lose a single cent if they don't fight. And I will not call anybody "greedy" neither will I be an instant CYBERBULLY hurling ****** racist remarks just because two fighters wouldn't come to terms. **** them if they don't fight. End of Discussion-let's close this thread.

Are you saying that Hatton would is a "B" rated boxer.
Using your logic, Hatton feels that he is "worth" at least half of the purse, since he is the champ.
