t's like my daughter saying that the artist who draws Hello Kittie cartoons is way more talanted than the guy who painted the Mona Lisa because the picture of hello kitty is Prettier.
dude wrestling is as complex and as much as a chest match you will find in sports. I'm not talking about MMA, I'm talking about wrestling
Show me a MMA fighter that has a beer gut??? I wanna see this???
All I gotta say is butterbean!!!
Ok how about I just let Freddie Roach who is Andre Arlovski's (an MMA fighter) tell you how much skill this guy has.
I think it is possible to just dislike MMA because you don't enjoy watching it. One thing that bugs me is the way they fight in a CAGE rrrr a CAGE because these guys are ANIMALS who must fight in a CAGE! GRRAAAAAA!
Twats.

No it's a legit question to boxing fans, and really I'm not trying to convert you or anything but I would hope that some of you would actually learn a little bit about the sport before you go bashing it.

I like MMA, I loved Pride.
I just have UFC......I hate the fan base, the rules, and the fact that they have way too many bad fighters competing at a high level.
And also that when they do manage to put a good fighters in the cage the fights are still borring as ****.

Fact of the matter is mma is an easily marketable item , as per boxing it is inherited by generation, it comes through family, fathers, and uncles. The "Sweet Science of boxing" is something that can be appreciated... MMA is a sport which is easily likeable to an average fan who I consider a "CONSUMER FAN" an individual who has no boxing or mma background who purchases a pay per view and ofcourse is easiily attracted by blood and guts toe to toe combat, and grappling. As opposed to boxing where it is not marketed time and time again by blood and guts , but who will come through in the face of adversity... Fact of the matter is, is that a boxers training regiment is much more intense , as opposed to mma, people have not died in mma , as in boxing.... and that's because gloves are utilized.... The only problem I see in boxing is that it has not invested money in it's future.... because any JOE SHMO Will ONLY KNOW DELAHOYA, MAYWeATHER , COTTO, names in which it has so clearly benefited from..The Average fan will not know names such as Rafael Marquez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Abner Mares, Humberto SOto, Johnny Gonzalez, Jorge Linares......the elite the ones who fight on World Championship boxing or Showtime FOR "FREE" and give great shows as opposed to Delahoya "UNDERCARD FLOPS AS WELL AS MAINEVENTS" It's the promoters such as SYCUAN, TUTOR GOOSEN, GARY SHAW, And BOB ARUM who keep the sport alive.... IF you think about it DANA WHITE is taking advantage of his own fighters. The best fighters in MMA Only get about 1million per main event. I know MMA Does good numbers on every show considering every show is ppv. The average PPV boxer makes anywhere from 3million to 8 depending on weightclass.. I say the ones who didn't make it in boxing went to mma .

Grown men wearing very little clothes looking for excuses to roll around on the ground together.
No.. In all seriousness, it takes way too little to change the course of a fight. The "lucky punch" that allows a lesser fighter to beat the better man does happen in boxing, occasionally (Rahman KO Lewis, Prescott KO Khan, etc.) but in MMA it happens WAY TOO OFTEN!!!
The fact that Broch Lesnar has the UFC HW belt is a joke. Hopefully Mir will destroy him very soon.

Anyone saying that wrestling is gay, just shows how immature and gay THAT person is to even have those thoughts cross his mind. Wrestling is a tough as a sport as you can do. The stamina needed for wrestling is ***en crazy!! I bet 95% of posters here if they wrestled for one minute would be out of their breath. Wrestling is just as much as an art as boxing. It's ignorance and just not knowing better to say it's not. Wrestling is just as much about thinking, if not more than boxing. You have to think ahead of your opponent! You something have to decide what you're going to do and then do 3 different things just to get to do what you want to do. Defense in wrestling is just as tactical as boxing. And unlike boxing you can't survive in wrestling without defense. Margarito can make up for defense with his chin. IF you have no defense in wrestling your ass is getting pinned. The countering in wrestling and reversals are an art and require a lot skill and thinking and to actually complete a reversal, is a whole different task on it's own. I don't like mma's stand up as I don't like sloppy fighting, but i grew up in a small town with no police department and fights were a daily thing. Fighting is fighting and I'm always down to see some fighting!! and true fight would! ONly an ignorant person would praise boxing so high and downplay another type of fighting only cause they know nothing about or never engaged in it. I have never bought an MMA card, but like i said im always down to watch fights and appreciate different arts of fighting.

I feel like many others here, personally I liked MMA when Pride was around. The UFC is a whole other issue I hate everything about it from the marketing, the commentators and most of all the incredible ammount of hype going on. These guys are overhyped to death, the fights are boring most of the **** goes down to the ground, fights end prematurely when a guy mounts the other and starts pitty patting him on the ground. A lot fights end after a single knockdown and the guy gets hit on floor. The UFC is mostly geared to dumb trendy mostly white audiences that appreciate violence more than skill.
Pride was a hell of a lot more entertaining, it had a street fighter appeal to it and the playing field was even so that wrestler had no advantages over strikers. The ufc with is shock value cage and no kicking on the ground bull**** gives wrestlers an unfair advantage making the fight a hell of a lot more boring.
To me there's no sport in mma just glorified violence. The skill level is nowhere near boxing and the competition is crap. Plus, I just hate the dumb tough guy UFC image.
