    .
lol at you, all pissed and ****. i just stated my opinion so now im an idiot? ive always said in these mma threads that i think it is a flawed and incomplete sport right now, and i cannot bring myself to appreciate as i did in the past.

i aint stopping anyone who wants to watch it or become a fan of it. watch it all you like, but im kinda getting sick and tired of posters starting these threads, posting mma videos in Non Stop Boxing (keyword)

Plus you should really watch modern day UFC because the fiirst 25 UFC events are lightyears behind what UFC is today.
yes i do watch it occasionally. the last one i watched i believe was the one with mir-minautoro and evans-griffins on it with my bros.

all i say is learn more about the sport before you talk smack about it. makes you look like an idiot (not referring to you buddy. talking to both idiot mma fans and ignorant mma haters)

I have been watching MMA for a loooooong time, brother. Please do not assume you can post a fight I watched live and change my opinion. MMA fighters need to take a look at all the flash KOs that happen and learn a thing or two about boxing, thats the truth.
Boxing fans should also be more respectful about the level of combative talent the top MMA guys have.
Like I said before, their are people in the wrong on both sides.

The thread starter is simply asking why so many people on this board in particular have such a blatant hate for the sport of MMA.

Simple as that ! You don't like it, get the **** out of the thread and go into another about what kind of cereal Manny Pacquiao likes to eat on Saturday mornings.

There are people who enjoy both sports ! Why do some of you knuckleheads feel like you have to choose a side ?

Is anyone here simply a fight fan ?
          you got me there.

why you so pissed with the comparison of mma being boxing's ******ed cousin? imo its a perfect analogy. mma kinda looks like boxing, tries to be like boxing, but not really as complete as boxing. mma though is currently undergoing therapy so it may become as good at it's older cousin boxing in terms of competitiveness as a sport and a more defined skill level

anyways, with regards to your post, i believe i answered in my previous posts why i dislike mma. so a big **** you to you

I hate the way these MMGAY fans go around the boxing boards like Jehovah's Witnesses go around the doors trying to convert people.

I wont hate on them for enjoying it but please dont rub the **** in my ****ing face.

A bit of advice to the thread starter....Making threads on a boxing board asking why we dont like MMGAY is like farting in a space suit....A waste of ****ing time.

You'll just get trashed and abused by most. Most of us dont want it and dont like it because we dont like the ground game where the lay on eachother for 3-4 minutes at a time.

In all honesty, I read absolutely none of the previous posts within this thread. I have the utmost respect for both athletes.

I actually used to be an mma fan before I got into boxing. but once I started getting into boxing, mma started getting harder and harder to watch. the skill level between mma and boxing is simply huge. Im serious. you see more skill in a lot of 4 round fighters than you see in the top mma guys.

I have nothing against mma, but I definately can only watch it for the grappling(which I understand, because I wrestled in high school). but trying to watch mma guys strike is awful, and unfortunately thats what I like the most.

even the very very top strikers in mma like Anderson Silva arent that great to watch, because while hes not too bad a striker even compared to boxers he has no one on his striking level. its a mismatch over and over again. its like watching a fringe contender knock out a lower class journeyman. its really not that entertaining after a while.

mma matches can be entertaining, I certainly dont hate them...but for the most part Id rather watch a fight like Andy Lee vs. Brian Vera over the very best of mma matches. and believe or not, that fight had more skill in it than about 99% of mma striking matches.

If we don't like it, we don't like it. That doesn't mean that we're hatin'.

                    End of thread.
