I do not enjoy watching, simply put. IMO it takes more skill when your arsenal is limited.

And the fact that you talk about boxing like it's some secret club for old men it's no wonder the younger generation wants nothing to do with it.
And how do I prescribe to their style of behavior? Did I not just give respect to MMA guys a few posts back?
Furthermore, how do I talk about boxing like it's a "secret club for old men"? I haven't even discussed boxing here, all I've talked about in this thread is my personal view on MMA.

I think the real starting point for you should be fedor fights simply becasue his entire style is rooted in russian sambo. he truley is without a doubt the most distructive man on the planet and he completely toys with most of his opponents.
All the boxing talent in the world wouldn't help you against this man.

But after posting this thread a lot of you guys are making me second guess myself.

The thread starter is simply asking why so many people on this board in particular have such a blatant hate for the sport of MMA.
Simple as that ! You don't like it, get the **** out of the thread and go into another about what kind of cereal Manny Pacquiao likes to eat on Saturday mornings.
There are people who enjoy both sports ! Why do some of you knuckleheads feel like you have to choose a side ?
Is anyone here simply a fight fan ?
I agree with most of your post, but the part in italics, I definitely disagree with.
Most fighters have a strength, ie a BJJ black belt, a kickboxer, a muay thai fighter, a wrestler...etc.
Many of these fighters are high caliber athletes in their respective sports.
The challenge in MMA is the test to see who's approach is more effective against their opponents approach.
This is what makes these fights intriguing, to me at least, is because there is so much more you have to be aware of, therefore making it even more of a thinking sport than boxing, in that you have so many more elements in addition to just your opponent's hands.
How ironic. I would say the same thing has been demonstrated in this thread countless times by boxing fans towards MMA.
As you asked earlier yes I am a fight fan and my only goal in this thread was to show everyone that being a "FIGHT FAN" is way more entertaining than just being an MMA/Boxing fan.
