that line itself shows you really don't know about wrestling or ever done it. There's no possible way you can know how to wrestle or know about it and say something like that. Wrestling is very technical. It's a ****en chess match on that mat!

Just because a fighter doesn't have a body like adonis doesn't mean he's fat and out of shape.

And it's funny that you mention Nogeira since he is considered to be MMA's version of Antonio Margarito. He's internationally known for having almost Godlike stamina

Ok how about I just let Freddie Roach who is Andre Arlovski's (an MMA fighter) tell you how much skill this guy has.

I don't hate MMA, I just can't get into it. It's a style thing. Guys who train in MMA have to train every possible aspect of fighting, the work on Boxing, Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu. Not to mention the training they do to avoid takedowns, escape submissions, etc.....

So they have multiple coaches, for their multiple styles. And since they're training in multiple styles, they cannot focus on one aspect more than another, therefore they get to train each style maybe twice a week.

The end result in the ring (or cage), is two guys going at it, who are adept at fighting in different styles, but don't really excel at any of them. Therefore it tends to be less exciting in my eyes. What's more exciting, watching two guys trade blows at close range for 3 minutes, or watching two guys roll around on the mat countering grappling moves for 5 minutes?

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, but for my money, it's the dudes trading blows.

One final note : Most MMA matches I've seen have either been long, drawnout battles on the mat, which simply bore me. Or an explosive first round knockout that happens before the viewer can really get invested in the action.

Boxing has more ebb and flow to it, allowing the viewer to get really invested in what they're watching, before the final blow is dealt out. I've never seen an MMA match with as much drama as a Corrales/Castillo, Barrera/Morales, Holyfield/Bowe, Vazquez/Marquezor even a Katsidis/Casamayor, Pavlik/Taylor, etc......

Difference in taste I guess. I prefer my combat to be of the boxing style.

Respect to MMA guys though, they train their asses off and deserve our respect, even if we may not like their sport.

                  MMA honestly is S***

Most are former college wrestlers who take a crash course on Boxing and kickboxing and think they are the best fighters on the planet and it's a joke.

If i wanna watch REAL wrestling I'd watch wrestlers perform there craft same with Boxers and kickboxers I don't wanna see a Wrestler trying to Box or a kickboxer trying to wrestle its sloppy.

It take YEARS to perfect Boxing,Kickboxing,Wrestling etc and to see some CLOWN doing eithier craft on the big stage with little training and experience it's just crap.

I also hate the 18-22 white frat boy steroid freak who thinks Boxing is Boring and dead and MMA is the greatest thing ever!

Those are some IGNORANT statements, right there. I could say anybody could punch anybody, does that take away from boxing?
Honestly boxing fans hate MMA because of insecurity, and elitist mentality. Its true MMA fighters do have pretty ****ty striking technique. Its also true that a pro boxer wouldnt last 15 seconds in a ground fight with Rickson Gracie.
MMA fans do the same thing, they call boxers limited, one dimensional fighters.
Both groups are right: Boxers are one dimensional fighters, MMA fighters have no stand up technique compared to boxers. Both sports still carry their own unique individuality.

                      .
Thats incorrect since most of them have a base style which is actually the fighting style they have mastered overall. Usually when you first enter MMA training it's required that you master either Ju Jitsu, Wrestling, or have mastered some sort of Striking art form first.

Fedor for example(the guy in my avatar) is the Grandmaster Sambo Champion of the world and was actually an olyimpic level amature boxer in his teenage years in Communist Russia. everything else he's learned has just made him a complete fighter.
