Clottey does apply enough pressure, his speed and overall strength would give Cotto a tough fight. He is also a ring technician as is Cotto, so he is not a guy Cotto can easily pick apart.
I really think he would...just styles wise. I think Clottey gives everyone some trouble, but I think Cotto wins an 8-4 type decision...I guess saying easy decision is going too far, you're right.

But the only way we've seen Cotto troubled is by pressure. Clottey doesn't apply any pressure. Cotto is faster and more accurate. I think it would be a boring fight and Cotto would pick him apart. Clottey's got a good straight right, which could give him trouble, but all I'm saying is that when Cotto is allowed to dictate the pace he's difficult to beat. And Clottey would let him dictate the pace.

Yeah that's what I mean too, I believe on the night of the Margarito fight, Cotto would beat any welterweight maybe with the exception of Williams (I still give Cotto a chance to beat him too). Margarito just had the right formula, granite chin, relentless work rate, and excellent mixing of punches.
