I agree but the problem I see if Roy does indeed fight again and win... he'll think he still has something left (i.e. beating the Prince, Hanshaw and Trinidad) and will look to fight on.

He better be fighting pretty weak opposition otherwise hang em up. Roy prolly doesn't wanna go out on a humiliating defeat and the worse he has ever looked(outside of the KO's). Joe made him look ****** at points.

He should retire, he gots nothing left to prove now, and he's never going to rekindle his old form.

But if he is going to fight i expect i pretty big/solid name maybe a Jermain Taylor,or maybe he will try his best to temp Hopkins into a rematch with him, or go after a fight which i think he would maybe have a good chance at getting the W a Clinton Woods rematch. There options for him and i imagine fighters will be interested in fighting him as they will get a pretty big payday and get a legend on there record and get a lot of the boxing public attention.And also come to think of it i think there a good chance it could be Evander Holyfield, which would be a fight 6 years to late but would still genearte alot of attention as two legends battle it out and probaly would a big fight in Jones's hometown.But lets wait and see

1. How can you say he was only great from 93-95. Maybe a the time you would say that but now looking back, he went undefeated and his last win he beat Antonio Tarver. His 2nd to last win he won the heavy weight championship. I don't care what you say, but don't discredit that. Don't discredit a once skinny middleweigt winning the heavyweight championship. Who the champion was don't matter hear. He did something noone had done in over a hundred years, not to mention going undefeated for the previous fifteen years. Stop hating. He went undefeated, rarely lost a round, always dominated, and just to let you know he really was that good, and everyone wasn't a bum, I'll go beat a heavyweight. Noone else can do this. Noone else is this good. Why doesn't someone go beat chaglev, or whatever. Hes probably an easier win than John Ruiz. Why doesn't Kelly Pavlick, Jermaine Taylor, Bernard Hopkins, or whoever who started at the 160. Because they would get slaughtered by any heavyweight champ no matter who he was. Therefore, please please stop hating on that stat, cause if you do you are a Hater of Roy Jones Jr. and your saying there is nothing he could do to prove himself. I don't know if it jealousy, envy, racism, or simple negativitey, but you have to give Roy props for being Super Man for that. The man beat a heavy weight. Noone else ever coming from 160 has done that, because Roy is G.O.A.T of at least 160,168 and 99%175. He's in the argument for G.O.A.T.

I love the post, but Jones came from light middle weight (155lbs) to win the heavyweight title. That has never been done before , period.

Roy Jones needs to leave on a high note. A lopsided loss to Calzaghe will not suffice. He will need to face a decent opponent, maybe a Shawn George or a Glenn Johnson and do his best to go out with a win. He will be remembered for going out with a win instead of a cut and a lopsided loss. Nobody will forget when he was Mr. Untouchable, however.

Roy deserves a whole ****e load more respect than he gets on this website. It's testimony to how narrow minded most of the posters on here are.

'93-'98 he was a great fighter. After that he basically went on a run of useless mandatories for almost 5 years. Then he moved up to beat maybe the 4th or 5th best heavyweight in one of the worst heavyweight pools ever...then started getting his ass kicked on a regular basis.

People can say what they want. Sweet Pea Whitaker was the fighter of the '90s. He got robbed in his fights against Chavez and DLH, but he was better and consistently fought better opposition than RJJ.
