lmao...no one has a more legit claim to being the dude who made muthafu(kers not care about boxing anymore than Roy Jones. The dude just basically stopped fighting anybody anyone cared to see him fight after '98. No one has ever fought as long a string of useless mandatories in the history of boxing. He's won one significant fight in the last 10 years out of a 19 year career. Think about that.

People always talk about how great he might have been. But do you really think he'd have beaten Archie Moore, Bob Foster or Michael Spinks? Get the fu(k out of here. Roy Jones wasn't even the greatest light heavyweight and it's not that close. He had a good career and some good wins, but he never dominated boxing.

Roy is my favorite fighter, but he needs to sit his azz down somewhere. I put a prime Roy in against anybody from any era and would favor him to win, but his prime was long ago. The desire to go out on top must be more addictive than heroin, but like most you will never be as high as the first time he tried it so just give it up. Roy, Big George and Tyson should start a boxing network and commentate on all the fights. They would probably be the 3 best commentators in the history of the sport. They tell it like it is. One thing I like about Roy losing is he never degrades his opponets after a loss.

'93-'98 he was a great fighter. After that he basically went on a run of useless mandatories for almost 5 years. Then he moved up to beat maybe the 4th or 5th best heavyweight in one of the worst heavyweight pools ever...then started getting his ass kicked on a regular basis.

People can say what they want. Sweet Pea Whitaker was the fighter of the '90s. He got robbed in his fights against Chavez and DLH, but he was better and consistently fought better opposition than RJJ.

The '90s didn't end very well for Whitaker, though. In the immortal words of Rick James, "******* is one hell of a drug."
