I agree. Not only is he over rated, he is very unwatchable. Watching a Hopkins fight is like watching paint dry.
Bernard Hopkins is Overrated....

Mike Tyson was not better than Bernard Hopkins in any way. Maybe for a minute and a half, which is how long his prime lasted. Hopkins has been going strong for more than 20 years.Comment

I think you'll find out that your logic of not rating greatness based on resumes but rather on what your favorites boxers to watch are is not going to be given much credit either.

hopkins was unable to adapt against fighters with speed and reflexes (he always lost to them, i don't care how close it was, HE LOST)
and for the record, bernard hopkins IS one of my favorite fightersComment

Okay, based upon your reasons to why Hopkins is not a legend, i will give you the same reasons why Tyson, Lewis, Hollyfield and Pacquiao are not legends. This is based on what you said about Hopkins.
1) Tyson cannot fight guys that are technically superior than him hence why he lost to Lewis and Hollyfield. If he cant win against all different types of fighters he is not a legend.
2) Lewis was getting ****ed by the bigger stronger Vitali before the fight was stopped on cuts. He cant fight well against the bigger fighters. He is not a legend.
3) Hollyfield just lost to the slowest heavyweight ever in boxing history. He is not a legend.
4) Pacquiao fails against clever orthodox boxers. He was outclassed by Morrales and got a boxing lesson from Marquez. He cannot fight well against all fighters. He is not a legend.
You justified Hopkins not being a legend as he cant fight well against fast guys with reflexes. Ive used your own criteria to justify why these guys are not legends.Comment

tyson beat a couple tall fighters with great jabs (that's what everyone agrees was his toughest challenge)

Journeymen were Tyson's toughest challenge, he couldn't adapt to beat Buster Douglas, Kevin McBride and Danny Williams. Not only did he lose to them but he was knocked out.Comment
