The Cotto that faced Margarito would've beat the snot out of Tito...

Everyone is so overrating the Cotto performance in that fight. You guys act like you have never seen Margarito fight before. Any good fighter can do that to Margarito. The question is can you keep it up for 12 rounds without getting KTFO. What Cotto did wasnt all that special. It was no different then what Clottey and Williams did to him/ Margarito has no D at all and is slow like a mummy. So Cotto hit him with some combos and then got on the move? Big deal. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. That fight was cleary over in round 2. I never ever had the feeling after round 1 that Cotto had any chance of winning. He was doing some good things but Margarito was just walking right through it and punishing him. Cotto was on the move by round 2 and all of his good stuff seemed more out of desperation then it was him putting on a clinic.

Tito would kill Cotto if you ask me. I dont trust Cotto's chin. I think when you lose then people forget how good you were. Tito was a monster in his prime. He's much faster then people remember and had power for days. No way Cotto beats him and Cotto wasnt any different in that Margarito fight then he was in his other fights. He can do that to Margarito every single time but at the end of the day he will get KO every single time. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying what Cotto did wasnt good but he was just normal Cotto and Margarito was normal Margarito. It may have been at a slightly higher level but its not like he was so special to where all the elite fighters wouldnt have had a chance against him. Thats crazy. Any great boxer couldve done that to Margarito and they have already. Even Cintron hit Margarito with a ton of clean shots and he's an average boxer in most peoples eyes

All you have to do is hump Cottos leg to beat him as with Trinidad all you needed was suberb boxing skills, which Cotto pocesses but did not use in the Margarito fight

As stated Cotto is a better boxer than the fighters you've mentioned.

The only reason Cotto landed those kind of shots is because Marg was protecting his body more than his head, hence why Cotto never threw any body shots and had all shots to Margs head.

Tito has way more power than Margarito, Cotto took a lot of punches from Margarito and got beaten by the accumulation of of those shots, he wouldn't be able to take Tito's punches.

Tito was my boy BUT got dropped every once in awhile by a big puncher, i think Cotto would've beat Tito imo on that night as well
