So I can say I fought professionaly once. Kno what I mean???? They're making it hard for the average person to get into boxing these days unless they live in a boxing area where there are alot of gyms and people who have connections to boxing.
you expect to just have people lable you a pro and fight a pro? Being a professional anything means you're actually a professional at what your doing, which means chances are you have dedicated a big part of your life to learn that profession. What you said is equivalent to man they're making it hard to play on an nba team, why can't i just get on a team. It's pretty ****** really. YOu have to earn your shot and prove your a professional. You want to be a pro fighter get your ass in the gym and start working on it, you can just be like charlie and label your ass a pro only to get hit once and quit like a bit ch!

The thing is, where does he live. If he has a license, believe me I know some people that wouldn't mind throwing him in with guys.

Guys he probably doesn't wanna be in with. ( and in reality aren't that good)

I think this is a bull**** post anyways.

You forgot the nueroligist test, then if you get ko'd back to the doctor to give you a look over again, it adds up if you have no money let the promoter know that you have no money, he'll pay then deduct it from your pay. And each time you fight you have to repeat the process again.

But you're wrong, I do respect boxing. It's just that I gave up on a real career since it's so hard to get into it unless you're willing to move to a boxing town to chase your pipe dream. And I'm not. If there was a boxing gym out here, I would do it the proper way. Train, fight amateur and then try to turn pro but I gave up on that.

Now like you said, I just wanna skip out amateur and go straight to pro and get my name on boxrec.......lol. Whatever happens, happens. It would probably be better if I did get knocked out, that way I wouldn't get any ideas about continuing. A one time thing is the best I think.

There......now you know why it's hard to get anything done in boxing living up here.

Hey one place is as good or bad as another.
I will ask my resources. I think we can get something for you.
                    Get licensed etc.

But getting ktfo in front of 3 people at 6 pm on friday night isn't fun.

Why can't you just spar at a gym, we can find you one, and then you can decide if you wanna go through with it.

You can probably tell, I am really against this, I know it's an internet gag, but you can get your ass beat sparring almost anywhere, if any respected gym lets you.

I say train first, travel if you must, and see if it's appealing to you.
I mean **** no cares in the end but sparring is as good as a fight, and you may actually do better, and improve.
You can enjoy the atmosphere of a good gym just working out, and being with the crew.

In the old days, a pug who couldn't find a job got into boxing and started fighting every other week to earn a living. I realize thats not how boxing is anymore. It's alot harder now but still not the equivelant of a aspiring basketball player wanting to go into the NBA and make alot of money.

And gues what PUTO. I'm not looking for any money so that should clear it up. I don't have to earn it if I'm willing to fight for free. Only reward I would get from it is to say that I did it. I.E Boxrec.com
Have you checked box rec dot com they have phone numbers of manager/promoter and you can add yourself to that list or call one of them.

I've done the same thing, did it mostly on my own with the help of a friend that gave me the contacts. If you want to do it you got to push and push. I did it for my own reasons and no it wont get out of your system. I wish to box again, just ain't dedicated as i once was and no where near my boxing weight. Good luck in what ever you do.
